I thought the micro/cotton was fantastic, then tried the vertical. I wasn't even able to say WOW! when I first tried it. I just looked like a speechless idiot with my eyes rolled out of focus, smacking my lips, and licking my palette. That was with Dragon's Fire which I preferred on a SS mesh genny over the horizontal coil R91. And I'm just finishing up my first tank of Pirate's Booty in this build - pure bliss.

Thanks to the inventors who create these ingenious devices, thanks to the tinkerers who love to fiddle with wicks & coils, and THANKS to ECF for bringing us all together!

What they'll think of next?

Glad you guys are lovin the vertical. Once you go vertical you'll likely never go back. Ever since iteo's dragon set up spawned me to try a vertical external wick to make it work in the oddy, I haven't looked back. It is the proverbial "holy grail"

If some of you guys could share your build setups over in the Vcore vertical thread that would be great. Some members are looking for tips and I don't have a kayfun or Russian

I found it easiest to create an NR/R/NR wire (used ribbon), and wound it around a ball-driver that just fit the airhole.. Wound it, inserted, and then bent the legs to suit.

However, I have it working cottton, as I simply lacked the time and imagination for silica - I think I may untwist some silica to route around the coil neatly.

hahahahahaha!

I am not waiting for anything more thru Kebo, from UCT or otherwise. I have a new term-s SS tank coming, as well as an Ithaka-clone. The term-c innards can try to live there, or if I get peeved: I've a spare naughtyfun core that will be mounted and done. Air and flow; 4-5ml capacity and done.

If I can find 2 SS ithaka mid-sections, that problem will be totally resolved for good.

i love the fact they already have a v2 for the r91- changed the finish, added better silicone o-rings, and put a spring in the 510 post. all without delivering the first version to tons of people waiting on it. so now there can be another version to wait on.....

Got a link for info on the v2?

rounding third and heading home...
Also interested in seeing the info for the V2. I haven't seen anything about it.

"NEW VERSION 2 with adjustable positive pole.
"The new improved Russian 91% is on its way. We've made some changes in the design as well as the metal finish. Slightly larger e-liquid grooves for easier intake & adjustment of liquids, especially the thicker VG liquids. We added a spring to the central pole so no adjustments are needed when changing MOD’s or batteries. All plastics seals removed & replaced with silicone plastics which is more resistant to heat and wear & tear from use."

quote from the website- got it off the r91 co-op site

V2 better not be a clone. I got on a pre-order for a Russian 91%. They are telling me it was delayed because they are improving the metal they are using. They also tell me it will be V2. I have one(V1 supposedly) now so I will know the difference.

Actually the only difference, from my understanding, is that it is made from better metal.

read post #693- there are other improvements........the metal isn't better just finished differently....

I got the full Russian since I couldn't find the 91 at the time and I love this thing. Haven't used a kayfun device before and tried a full Russian at the vape shop by my work, fell in love with the air flow on it. Currently have XC-116 at .6 ohms with some rolled cotton that i rolled between my fingers into a wick starting from the side of the juice intake, wraping over my nextel without touching the coil, going down to the juice intake on the other side, and then going to the other side of the nextel shoulders. This helps with the wicking on the sub ohm setup. I previously had the verticle nano dragon, carto build, or whatever you want to call it. That was nice, but when I leave my Russian sitting too long it seems to be a little dry on the first few drags so I wanted a material that can take a little dry burn without funking up the flavor. Nice to have a fuss free setup that I can just torch a little and dry burn. The verticle nano is fussy with cotton density so it's a little less consistent. Very nice device with only one thing I wish I could do with it. Adjusting the juice control externally would be amazing, I can do this on my fogger V2. Only other problem I have with it is my juice consumption has gone way up, but I DIY so it's not a huge deal.
