Just got my Russian. Right away I used the scotchbrite pad to refinish the 91 metal. I even bought brasso metal polish to bring out shine and clean it. But the scotchbrite left fine scratches on the surface of the metal. Any thing I can get nearby that will fix that and give it a cleaner brushed stainless steel look?

Can you post a picture? Would really like to see what it looks like. I was also thinking of doing that, But don't really want to scrape off the "The Russian 91%" text

I have received what is suppose to be the v2, i dont have v1 but for what i can tell the v1 have machining marks on the tank and the chimy is satin sandblasted like the finish on the body, my "v2" have a very smooth finish and the chimey is mirror like shiny finish.

from what I remember both v1 and v2 have shiney chimneys but the machining is definitely better / smoother on the v2

I have seen lots of photos with the satin chimney, at least mine is not like that, maybe some1 here can confirm if they have a satin not shiny chimney

The R91% is a two piece design. Unscrew 510 connector, tighten center post while holding positive block in place, replace 510 connector.

KFL+ is one piece center post and 510 connection. Tighten while holding positive block in place.

This is not working for me. I'm not sure what I'm missing

edit: im ordering my "mtank" from here as its cheaper and cheaper shipping Aqua clear tank by Centuri | Cool Vape the vaperev mtank is plastic anyways but does any one object?
I want to get a clear tank too. Is it just me, or does that one look like it bulges out so that the center of the tank is wider than the rest of the RBA?

Its obviously not as pronounced as in my example, but in the picture on coolvapes, it does look like it bulges out. I'v seen other pictures where it looks like it bulges out too, and I've also seen pictures from other sites/forums, where it looks perfectly straight. The full frosted/clear tanks (like same material as stock mid section) also look completely straight.

Also wondering if the "frosted" clear tanks are less prone to cracking with tank cracker juices?

My KFL+ has a 0.8Ω vertical chimney coil that tastes great whether on my vv device or on my mech even with a fresh battery. Lots of cotton around the coil that keeps it plenty wet no matter how hard I pull. I haven't tried going below that, though.

What VV Mod do you have? Everyone I've seen won't except anything lower than like 1.3Ω... definitely above 1Ω

I'm about to order my first Russian. Any thoughts on a good gauge of wire to start? I'm going to be shooting for close to 2.0 ohms on my builds than 1.0. Also what sort of fillers? I've never built a coil so it being easy isn't going to hurt anything. The listing I'm getting for it doesn't say what gauge and thickness the wire or silica are.

Yah mine too just suddenly. I think its the fill hole screw! I am going to try to get a small o ring for it. Unless someone knows what is the "thread size" for that fill screw to replace it.
I will let ya know how the oring works
Good Luck! :toast:

I'm getting leaking somewhere from the bottom of the r91. It is not leaking from the airhole, but somewhere from the bottom of the deck.

Seems like each time I wipe it down, I still get juice leaking from the bottom. Anyone else having these issues?

I am using 29 ga kanthal, 12 wraps, 1.8 ohm, vertical coil with degummed hemp fiber. Works and tastes fantastic!

Good Luck with yours! :toast:

I suppose it can only be the fill hole screw...Try an o-ring like Shynsly suggests. I should be getting my R91 today (to compliment my kfl+). I will let you know if mine leaks. I have an extra o-ring that came with my KFL+ which i may try.
