CH will BF it for a small fee. Head over to the thread and ready page 1 on how to communicator with CH.

Got mine today and really like it even rocking a single coil that is amazing.

Thanks you for posting this. At first I erroneously thought the slots weren't big enough for Claptons and the like. I will try to have that post edited and linked to this one. Sweet! Love this atty. Right now it is easily my new favorite. Have not been using The Vector at all.

@RickCain,

You inspired me and now I am running a single-coil Clapton in mine! Love at first vape.

i think this one might be my next authentic mod. How does the top work? the drip tip area, is it just a normal 510 driptip? Im asking because i noticed elementmods has these on their site: AgeLock

I was wondering if that chuff cap replaces the whole top area where it angles down, or if it just fits in the 510 which makes no sense. By further inspection on the photo above though, it seems the 510 drip tip connects to a metal piece, then the metal pieces connects to the topcap which connects to the barrel. So im guessing the topcap is 2 separate pieces, and the chuff cap replaces the top metal piece?

Yep. It comes with a driptip adapter for regular 510 tips (that little collar of sorts). Take it out and then it will house the proprietary, short wide-bore ELM tips.

Such an easy-to-build atty.

so it comes with one of the widebore elm tips? or just with the 510 adapter. cuz the rda is 90 alone, then if i want a widebore from their site its 25$ more. Might have to save up for that :eek:

Just the adapter. The tips (which I bought) are stupid expensive for what they are. LOL. But they are quite nice. Too bad you missed out on the FD 25% off sale...but you might want to wait until the 4th of July just in case they do another sale. Just a thought.

yeah thats what im guessing, I was out of $$$ with science of vaping did their 50% OFF Father day sale :cry:, I really wanted to pick up their sod5k cloud chaser edition for 40$, that was a deallll and I was eyeing that baby for so long but had no cash at the time. But now this stumpy comes out and looks much sleeker and cleaner, and the 2 post deck will be MUCH easier for me to center my coils. We'll see what kinda deals come around on the 4th of july

Anyone out there that can help me with this, I'd appreciate it. I saw somewhere somebody did a single-coil clapton build on The Stumpy where the coil ran perpendicular to the posts (maybe it was @inswva?). Is there any benefit to this? Downside? I was curious if I should try it out but I kinda don't want to waste my current build or any clapton wire.

perpendicular to the posts? arent all builds usually perpendicular to posts? Or do you mean parallel (vertical) coils?

No, but I understand why the term is getting twisted. I mean the coil crossed down the middle of the posts. Still horizontal, just perpendicular to where it would normally run.

I am having a hard time trying to understand what you are explaining. Only thing I can think of is, perpendicular from the birds eye view, with the actual body of the coil between the two posts - one lead going in through a side of the post then the opposite lead going through the opposite side of the other post (180 degrees).

If thats what you mean, the benefit I see from it is that you can get both sides of airflow working more efficiently to cool down the coil evenly.

makes sense lol, guessing you didnt see my reply before you posted, but yeah, i see benefits from it. You can run both sides of airflow rather than one side, and it will cool the coil more evenly (theoretically). How effective is it? who knows, but if I had an RDA like the stumpy I would do it cuz of my OCD, looks more clean and symmetric. If you are going to be pushing high wattages into a clapton coil, that's such a great idea to help keep it cool

Ha! Yep, hadn't refreshed the page.

And like what you said (that I just saw), that is exactly how it is working. I didn't think of it until I went to put the top cap on! Suhweet. I wanted more airflow to the single-coil Clapton, but it wasn't right coming all the way from the other side. Now it does make sense. Super easy to do. Super easy to wick. And when you drip, the coil gets hit directly with the liquid and (especially on a Clapton) gets to immediately absorb it. And like you, I don't like the idea of all that wasted real estate. I like single coil builds, but they feel off balance. Chalk up another positive for the two-post deck.

The hardest part of this build was uploading the pic. LOL Here it is:

52b8denh.jpg

It works nicely. Actually, it works fantastically!!! Not hot at all and I am using the same wattage as before, but it was getting to be too much until I did it this way. I am running the pair of dual-coil air holes on the sides of the posts. The center hole of the three holes is right in front of each post, but it's still open. Having the air holes in front of the cotton was not as efficient for cooling the coil.

This is by far the best build i have had on this atty. I am over-the-moon with this and I was already happy with the RDA. It just vapes so good this way. Wow! Thanks for rapping with me on it becasue I wasn't too sure it would work. I was afraid the air wouldn't hit the coils correctly due to the wicking, but it's all good as if this was how it was meant to work.

Get one! The only con is the airflow is difficult to adjust, but I am leaving it fully open, so it's no biggie.

Interesting, I tried a similar build on my velocity but couldn't quite get it working. I'll have to try this next build.

@vaptamist

Awesome, bro. Let me know how it goes. It helped me to do a trial one first with no initial bends to see how much space I would need when I did make the bends.

Just got off of Facebook where I was rapping with the owner of EM. I was just so proud of the build I wanted to show him. We had a laugh because he replied with a pic of the exact same build that he was vaping on! I was able to find others, so I am sure I saw it somewhere.
