Love this quote he chose by C.S. Lewis, "those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience".

Our biggest problem is that the do-gooders are heavily funded by the money makers who stand to lose. Bad combination. Do-gooders can be ignored and let to scream in the wind. Money Makers can be defeated by honest competition. Put the two together and let them pressure the government to carry out their purposes, and we have a fight that's tough to win.

Great article! Thank you!

In addition, it led me back to this great article: The lunatic war on e-cigarettes

Wow! Great reading! All of it!
Thank you very much indeed!

And as a European vaper who is quite active in the fight to protect our lives and our health from the grasp of Big Pharma and the haters, I am very happy to have found all these great things!

Thank you

Good article. Starting to see sensible ramblings/rumblings from both the far right and far left. I like it!

Good point, and I agree that vaping should be a place where you should find a natural alliance between left and right. It just doesn't seem to be working that way in the Government sector, I believe because tax revenue is threatened. If enough people in the grassroots see vaping as a positive though, I think that the Government could be dragged (however unwillingly) into support for vaping. Money is important, but re election is most important.

Your comments in this thread and another (the Philly.com thread) are very much appreciated. Beautifully well said.

I wish that was true. The far left is leading the attack to severely restrict and/or ban vaping nationwide. The far right has been mostly silent (which is a good thing) with a few exceptions in that group, who have actually been supportive of vaping. Libertarians, who are not part of either of these groups, have been supportive.
