coils and bases are separate , coils are cheaper to replace,,coils work on T3's and evods and protanks.

this setup seems to be an improvement on the bottom coil tanks and makes my vapeing life easier to manage.

i can buy one coil type for all of my different tanks.

Do you have any pics?

I have all of SI's delivery devices.. and I use all of them.
Cartos are for tank cracking juices - period.
Nano's are for my volt batteries.. they last me a lot longer than advertized and are just more portable than the bigger batteries
I tried the CE3s.. don't like the needle fill nonsense and had more leakage with those than the others put together.
Clearos rock.. hands down.. warm top vape.. awesome. Would be great if they held more... and had replaceable heads.
I have more T3 mini's than anything though.. just more economical. I have 2/3 holes covered on all the coils.. cooler vape is ok on mints and menthols for me.
I do have some full size T3s also.. better for my stronger / thicker / sweeter juices because they're much more cleanable than the clearos IMHO.

thus far I have not ventured from SI devices.. I'm quite content with all this gear.. though that pic on the last page of that other clearo thing has me curious.. top coil????top fill?? changeable mouthpiece?

Well I gotta say it looks like the T3 mini is a winner so far. Filled it up with my Kahlua/Irish Creme mix popped it on my new spinner and set it just a click above 3.8v and taste and vape is great. Not super warm like a top coil but much warmer than the standard T3. Also tried it on my regular 900 X2 and works good as well. Gonna give it a few days trial but looked like I may order some more if this one works out good.

Well I have gone through a whole tank and just filled again. Trying to really use it hard to put it to the test. I did get a slight gurgle once during a chain vape session but I think it may be condensation. Let it sit and it went away. No drip on the battery post. I do find with the more airy draw it works better on my regular X2 because I can get a longer draw due to the longer cut-off time. Think I will reserve my spinner for my other clearos and use the minis on my regular 900's.

Just wondering what the reasoning was behind the shorter cut-off time on the spinner???

Ok I just got my order of more minis and was able to try some different juices. First try was Tribeca and I was right. Sweeter and stronger juices are better on the mini. Granted the taste is not as strong as a top coil, but it is still pretty damn tasty.

I received my T3 minis the other day. Tried 2 of them for 2 days and I just can't seem to get used to them being so airy. Are you used to them or does this bother you? I really want to like them cause changeable heads. I'm using a volt spinner with caramel cappuccino.

I've been using the volt x2 clearos and love them. The mouth piece is quite thinner than the T3's which I'm sure is the reason why the T3's are so airy.

They're airy because of the three air holes in the knurled base. To tighten the draw, block one or two of those holes with a toothpick, broken off in the hole, or use thick super glue or wax. I always block two of the holes to get the draw to the point I like it at.

I wonder why they would make them like that. On their site it says to block the holes at your own risk.

Sitting down, facing forward.
The only risk involved, that I can see, is sucking your eyeballs into your head trying to vape IF you block all three. I've been using them, and other three hole devices, with two holes blocked, for the better part of a year and I can't detect any degradation in performance or device life. I suspect that their "warning" is just a standard disclaimer.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it. Your results and mileage may vary. No warranty or guaranty is expressed or implied. Proceed at your own risk.

Wow! So out of the blue today, both my mini's work great. I'm getting a good hit from them now. I refilled them a second time and they are good to go. They are still airy but I'm getting used to that. I just take a slower longer hit. I guess I just had to break them in. I'm now a happy camper!! (this is without plugging holes)

They are airy yes. Nowhere near as bad as the regular T3. Depending on the flavor I use a finger to block one of the air holes. I gotta admit I still love my V2 liquimx the best. They give the warmest and most flavorful vape. And have lasted months after many refills and cleanings. Even though V2 does not recommend cleaning them. The only downside is the small capacity. I have found the X2 are nice but seem to only last a few weeks before getting a burnt taste. And most of my flavors are tobacco based and 60/40 or 70/30. Same with the esmarts.

My biggest problem is accepting the fact that a head is on it's way out and having to toss it. I find myself using them much longer than I prolly should. The first time I swtched to a new head after using an older one it was like night and day. But I figure as long as I am getting vape and some flavor it seems a waste to toss any of them. Guess that is just the cheap in me. Hava e 8 extra heads on standby.

I find that a new wick will take a tank or 2 before it breaks in completely. I don't plug the holes either. After smoking for 40 years and quitting 3 years ago, I find the easy draw takes less effort and is easier on my lungs yet I still get all the vapor taking long slow draws. A wick will last me anywhere from 3-6 weeks depending on the juice.

Finally got around to trying out my T3 now that I got my regular juice orders. Gotta say I am not a fan. Way too airy, cool vapor and very muted taste. This is the similar experience I had with the Nano and CE3's. I have come to the conclusion that bottom coils are not my thing. It is a nice piece and seems well built. I just prefer better flavor and warmer vapor. I'll just stick to the X2 clearos and e-smarts.

I have to let you know that I tried the eSmarts from your recommendation and I absolutely love them. They are the perfect companion for my auto 78s. They are very durable and are pocket friendly. Great flavor and vapor production too. :vapor:

They don't fair as well with the larger batteries though.

Now I mainly use the mini T3s on the X2s and Spinners.

I too use the eSmarts and they go great with my 78 batts, don't look too top heavy and give a better vape than the Nanos. If you refill them just make sure not to lose the tiny clear Oring seal that sits on top of the vapor tube, otherwise they will leak. I lost one and had to fashion another out of a silicone carto condom using a magnifying glass and exacto knife (but it worked!) I am getting rid of my T3 mini's, too airy, like the top coil clearos better. Check out the trade/swap/PIF thread for more info.

If you prefer a top coil the Halo Triton tank fits the X2, my hubby prefers that one, I like the T3 mini. I actually prefer the lighter throat hit...less harsh.

My understanding is the triton is essentially a T2. Large capacity which I didn't really like with my SI T3. I wish they made a smaller version like the T3 mini. Does your hubby notice any gurgling or leaking with the Triton???? Does it require a ton of twirling to keep the wicks wet. That is one thing I noticed with the larger capacity top coils. And once they get 1/3 full it is almost impossible to keep the wicks wet.

I'm really loving the T3 minis. I'm used to it being airy and now I prefer that over the X2 clearos. I have a regular T3 that I haven't tried yet. From alternating the 2 minis I can't remember if both leak or just one. I'm very forgetful. Anyway, they only leak when I fill it/them. When I turn it over and unscrew the bottom, some liquid comes out the mouth piece. When I screw it/them back on and put it on my spinner, after a few seconds there's liquid on my battery post. Am I not filling it right or maybe I got a defect? Like I said, I can't remember if it's one or both of them. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

You may be filling it a little too much. If you tilt when filling turn it straight up a few times to make sure you are not going to the very edge or over the air tube. Even if you take it right to the edge a few drops may leak down the air tube.
