Scarfy included the category in the first NETty Awards with this explanation; "Best Non-NET tobacco
Just out of curiosity, to see if NETheads like any non-NET tobacco. Can include artificial tobacco flavors, or tobacco absolute/tobacco extract liquids."

For the second awards I kept all of Scarfy's categories and added a few. I didn't see a reason to remove a non-NET tobacco category because many NET fans also like artis, and that category is relevant to them.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I intend to follow the results in this category to see how passionate people are about it. Seems virtually impossible to duplicate the complexity of a real NET, but I'm always willing to try something new.

This is a great resource for us relatively new NET fans to discover vapes people feel passionate about and go explore some of these amazing e-liquids. But I have a question:

Why is there a category for "Best Synthetic/non-NET tobacco"???

Seems kinda like having a category for "Best old wannabe who tells great stories at the local bar" in a "Best running back in NFL history" poll. Just seems irrelevant.

Not trying to stir anything up, just don't understand the logic.

P.S. Barry Sanders is the best running back in NFL history.

I guess just to cover all tobaccos. Some that were great NETs are no longer NETs and interesting to see other tobacco flavors. and I just copied past ballots

I offer this caveat regarding my votes. My sole purpose in starting vaping was to get off of cigarettes, and in my quest to find something that tasted like a cigarette, I went through dozens of non-NETs before finding NETs that did the trick for me. I’ve only tried Heathers Heavenly Vapors (3 flavors, I didn’t care for any of the ones I tried – Legend, Huntsman, and Serendipity.. I will try those again now that they have aged/seeped for months) and Natural-Tobacco-Extract brands, I did try an Ahlusion that I thought by the website contract tobacco extract (smooth criminal), but I have heard in this forum that they no longer make those. I have tried dozens of extracts from NET however, and my list below will show my favorites. I typically vape 24 mg @ 70/30 pg /vg using a cheap GeJ CE5+ clearomizer for flavor – don’t laugh, I have a kangertech EMOW Dual bottom coil (poor flavor), Aspire Nautilus Mini with OCC BVCs (fair flavor), I just like the CE5+ flavor best and replace the “wickless” coils every few days (49 cents each). I plan to try a cartomizer tank system next if I find a cartomizer I like. Taste is in the buds of the vapor of course, so I highly recommend anyone try samples of our favorites before buying larger bottles, your favorites you have to find on your own! J

It really is valuable information, in fact it was the early NETty awards where I discovered NET's even existed, and the recommendations helped me stop smoking - 8 months ago. There are some really decent lab made tb juices. GeJ makes three of my favorites but there are others. Sometimes a change-up can be good. Even if it's just the fact of appreciating a great
NET after vaping a lab juice.

I knew what you meant but for a moment I thought I had used the wrong name !

In the early days 15FF was the only NET I knew so I vaped it exclusively for months before I found the NT thread. It was a good introduction into NETs for me with the tobacco being a little on the understated side. It is still one of my favorites and I always keep some on hand although I no longer vape it exclusively as there are so many NETs available.

I don't know if this truly really means anything, and I probably shouldn't say this.... I smoked out of a pineapple once. It was a long weekend in the Bahamas... I was on the beach 10 minutes before having to catch a plane. I made the flight, and under the circumstances-- I take great pride in this.
