it is with a tube modded bottle ....i just left it connected and up right all night...i figured it just self fed itself...it leaked out the bottom of the atty...where it connects to the pv....no worries...user error i'm sure...lol...but it works great..:)

Ok, that makes sense and what i suspected. With the tube mod in the bottle, it can siphon out on its own. All my testing was done exclusively as a manual feeder with no tube mod in the bottle. With it this way, i've never experienced any leaking.

I guess for these reasons, i can't recommend the tube mod for the bottles. The Vapemate was designed as a manual feeder and is leak free when used as recommended, so if one is doing the tube mod, just be aware of the potential pitfalls and use at ones own risk.

the VM is still hung up somewhere in Hawaii... what a pia; it left honolulu yesterday in the morning and should have been here on kauai with the day's mail.... but no... if not tomorrow, then what? it'll be here.

The horrors of living in paradise, you aren't going to get any sympathy at all from someone in Massachusetts!! LOL

I thought I was just overfeeding... warning accepted... looks like as the capilary tube drains into the atty it just pulls more juice up... we need some reliable way to drain the capliary back into the bottle... or just remember to hold your device horizontally for a few seconds with the bottle lower than the atty..perriscope down.

using 1/4" with 5mil bottle that came with VM, no overdripping... not having the problem.
(will revisit HzrG8grl's ... to check)

Only complaint is not a VM issue: airy draw on 2 LR 510's i have used....
Iken LR 2.0 ...altho just right heat/vapor
EM 1.8 LR.. same
My 2.2 Ohm 510's (one is a Titan 510 from TW) have better draw ... but have to take longer drags.

Any "best" recommends for 510s between 1.7 and 2.2 Ohm that don't have airy draw?

I am wondering if you simply un-screw the bottle to break the vacuum which should drain the tube then screw it back on if it will still self feed. That way you can leave it connected while not in use

The VapeMate is not per say a self feed unit, you need to squeeze the bottle to make it feed, you can sometimes get it to self feed a bit if you have a nice tight draw set up along with the proper vacuum like pressure in the bottle and tube. You can let it sit attached to your unit all the time with no hassles or worrying about it flooding you Atty or PV. These are just my own personal observations & findings. Bottom line = Awesome little mod for drippers !!!

I guess you didn't read the posts where people have had them leak over night after using the tube mod on the bottles and leaving them connected. I know they don't leak if you have not done this to the bottle, they were tested to be sure of that.

the key is getting right amount of juice... just like dripping, if you flood it, you will have problem vaping, but also problem with leaking of course.
Auto feed aside (some do some don't), the VM will squeeze feed differently depending on your set up (tube/ no tube/ diff diam.tube/ diff bottles) and amount of juice in the bottle (different levels in the bottle)...
Lots of variables, but worth the trouble. If you chain vape, beats the heck out of manual dripping

I'm wondering if these over night siphon leaks are occurring on 901 atomizers? I am thinking that the siphoning of juice happens much easier on the 901 when you get it flooded and then sit it down for a while. I have yet to have any problems of this sort with either a 901 or 510 but I can see how it might happen if air were allowed to enter the bottle. Kinda like holding you finger on the top of a straw filled with liquid. Release your finger and liquid comes rushing out. I hope that everyone keeps the dripper cap on their bottle so that a squeeze is necessary to get juice out of the bottle. I tried using the tube with the dripper cap cut down to allow the tube to pass through the top cap and kept flooding my atty so I went back to using the dripper cap to throttle back on the volume passing into the VM a bit. It will not auto feed anymore but that is not how it was designed in the first place. I like the idea of a manual feed system and think user control is very important. I know all too well how frustrating the whole "auto" feed thing is and the VM solved each and every problem I had with those other systems. Juice has to come into the atty from the top (Flavor IS affected), I need control over the amount of juice entering the atty because it only tastes good when its vaporized first lol... , and being able to quickly switch my juice flavor and or atomizer in seconds on the go is super nice.... I think David has covered all the bases with this little add on. Thanks again David!!
