I read that too, but Steve (Smilin) said he always ships them out with a charged battery so you don't have to wait. I just used the one that wasn't wrapped in cellophane. All my batteries hold a 3-5 hr charge with almost constant vaping. I just use the one and charge the other one overnight
I agree with better safe than sorry, but I remember how anxious I was to try it when I got it
(since it was shipped charged, I couldn't wait )

For the most part, at least one of the batteries is most of the time already charged.
However, a good rule of thumb to use with ALL e-cig batteries is the following:
1. The first initial charge should be for at least 12 hours.
2. Each charge after that has to be for at least 4 hours.
3. Continue charging the battery for the above described number of hours regardless if the green light is on or not.
4. After some time, if you see battery performace starting to diminish, do the 12 hour charge again.
Lady Bug,
After you screw that cartomizer in, take 2-3 primer puffs meaning quick puffs like if you're lighting up a real cig. This will heat up your atomizer a bit.
Then take slow drags. It's a transition you're going to have to go through but once you get used to it, it'll be well worth it.
where the heck is smilen at. Im thinking of placeing an order next week for some new juice and carts. But I haven't seen any info on what is going on with vapor4life. I wounder if he is selling everything and going out of business. there are a lot of problems with the FDA and customs. So I dont know what will happen. I would like to know if he has any new products plus juice. I placed an order last week and he didnt have certain flavs. so i got other flavs as well which were great. but im afraid to order some minthol but im afraid to get the wrong thing or a different mg.

Hi Ladybug, Yes, it's charging when the light is red. Of the 3 VK's that I got, either one or both batteries were already charged when I got them. They'll be "fully" charged when the light turns green. You could try one of them while the other is charging. Just pull off the rubber protective ends and the little rubber plug in the battery side of the cartomizer, screw it onto a battery and vape away

After I stared at the green light for a while,I decided green meaans go so I started vaping and I'm loving it!i wont give up on him but if things are bad what am I going to do with getting more carts for my Vk...I dont like refilling because they get way to hot. besides that defeats the purpose of the disposable...I like to take them apart and sqeeze what ever juice left and use it in my M401...I just hope he gets his supplies from customs...what they are doing is illegal because there not ban yet...so there breaking the law by holding products that can altimatly hurt business espeailly with the way the econamy is rolling south...so I hoep steve is okay and i hope he can bouce back form this quickly...steve were all thinking about ya and hope your doing akay as far as okay can be
I'm ordering my starter kit from vapor4life Nov 30th. When I watch reviews on youtube most are from 2009 and the impression I get is V4L was top notch at that time, then went downhill briefly with products and customer service. I guess everything is running smoothly now, I sure don't want to throw money away. I'm hoping the carts and the batteries are good quality. What confuses me is the reviews probably during the transition period about the USB pass through working for only one day, etc. I'm jumping in with both feet anyway with the Ulimate kit, but a word or two of encouragement would be appreciated. Seems the new reviews are good and the prices are great. Is everyone happy with their VK from V4L?? Thnx PS Also, does the code SMILIN still work for 10% off my purchase?

I guess I have nothing to worry about I bought a cheapy e-cig from the corner store and have bought e-juice from V4L to refill the carts. Excellent service with that, both packages arrived within 3 days!! Seriously tho, some of the youtube reviews can be confusing, so that's why I'm coming right to the source. I feel much better making this purchase. Still don't know if SMILIN will get me 10% off, or if their starter kits are in stock. I'll find out pay day. Thanks for feedback. OMG! This thread is from when Steve was just starting out! I started with V4L about 4 months after this. I remember at the time he was saying - just watch, it will just get better and better and darned if it hasn't! Just gotta love it!

Maxwell...I love my new kit I ordered on the 14th of this month! So much so that I ordered 2 extra batteries today. I ordered the XL Manual Kit and love it! I have a Lux and a Riva also but the XL Ultimate VK is the nearest thing I have ever tried to real smoking...I even forget to smoke a real cigarette...I am so hooked on it!
I already am hating the taste of real cigs. Vape has such a clean/pure taste, I just don't see how it can be better. I did throw an XL battery in my cart for next week's big order, I'm glad you mentioned you like it. The more I read the more I'm sure that V4L is the best. I feel like a kid waiting for X-Mas - lol ...
