I'm just not a "taking pictures" kind of guy unless I have to. I hate the whole process of uploading and bull, and I hate phones. I can see where I probably should have posted "example pictures" from the websites themselves of my devices, but really, taking pictures of any set up will rarely help anyone, again, unless it's an RDA. You can't even "get into" these Fluxomizers, and carto tanks, you can't take em apart once filled unless you want to empty your juice.

But I did post them. Some posts above for anyone who didn't see em.

Here's my device list for my history of vaping, products that I think WORK.

1. Cisco 3.5ohm atty, $13 version.
2. Fluxomizer, only with %100VG juice (complete mystery, I admit)
3. Smoktech 3-hole cartomizer in a Grab Bag Surprise tank (have no clue what the brand is).
4. 2012-ish disposable Imperial Hookah.
5. 2010-ish Blu disposable.

Here's the devices that I personally think through my experience have defects or issues that don't allow vaping to be as simple as "filling, dialing in the voltage, and experiencing the joy that vaping truly is.", in order from best to worst.

1. Aspire heads.
2. Smokin' Crow, hemp wicked.
2. Rare CE4's/5's (haven't tried VG experiment on them).
3. Kanger heads.
4. Aro tank heads.
5. Off-brand dipping atties.
6. Modern-day Blu kits, or virtually any kit.
7. iClear 30.

Can't even list all the extreme defects and horrid experiences I've gotten from those devices. The Aspire and the Smokin' Crow were virtually the only one that gave somewhat of a tolerable vape at times. They were sort of on the same "on and off" page. Never got standard results out of them, but they gave markers of "what could end up being a good device with better control standards." I also managed to get Aspire-like results out of the Kanger heads, but only Aspire-like. The vapor, just like the Aspire, had a "insulation" type layer to the flavor, and muted flavor. The result was almost the exact same as the Aspire itself. I did the best I could do.

All of the rest of the devices were like either putting straight feces in the vape, or like vaping a sub-ohm build with a hair-sized airhole. Couldn't fix the harshness.

In my experience juice snaps, crackles and pops when everything is working well in my e-cig (I love that sound). When it stops sounding like that I find flavor and vapor production decrease.

Precisely my experience. My kayfun (snaps,) crackles and pops and it vapes heavenly. When I manage to get that from my evods they are also heavenly. But to each their own. I just happen to enjoy the most flavour and vape I can get.

Well, GoodNews, I guess I owe you an apology. I was seriously doubting whether you had any vape gear at all.

Just a repetition of what I said, your experience does not mirror what most members encounter. If it works for you, then jolly well. We are open to discussions, but not if you are adamant that you are always correct.

Tata.

That's all I've been trying to do, is form discussions, have members openly question how I am getting certain results, and to see if there is any proof that what I'm saying is true or false.

So far, I've just heard a lot of "that can't be true" and "I don't believe you."

I'm not trying to start a flame war or a troll fest, I'm actually trying to put the information out there, for example if someone has an old disposable clearomizer laying around, and wanted to test and see if they get any sort of different/improved result out of vaping 100%VG in the clearomizer (a 24-hour sit-and-soak, and vaping horizontally, is an extreme must!), then hey, maybe they won't get the same result, maybe they will. I'm just trying to see if anyone has heard of any weird mystery like this.

I mean, right now, I'm getting truly excellent vapor on the Fluxomizer (like, baby Aspire vapor) and the flavor is, most of all, very clean, very fluffy, very moist. I've vaped 2-3 tankfulls, thanks to a juice discovery that would not have happened if not for a miracle chance that I decided to order 100%VG juice. And yes, this tank DID thin out when I added only a drop of PG, because it's only a 1ML TANK and the tank was also only half full at the time. That's when it started tasting wicky and popping. I had to add 10 drops or so of VG just to correct it.

The VG doesn't give that result at all unless it's not wicking right. The flavor of the PG juice, on any setting, is hot, hashy, wicky, and weird, and the vapor is like, weaker and thinner in a way. That's not my issue, but the flavor is. The VG does it too when I don't vape horizontally - if I tilt that sucker down by even a 1/4th of an inch, it will not wick and it'll taste pretty darn uncomfortable. Not a big cough sputter fit, but a wicky, socky taste that I simply do not like at all and will not vape. It's the same socky flavor from juice to juice and device to device (like, it's the same flavor I was getting out the Aspire) so it's not nicotine or PG. It's something to do with the coil.

But the PG and the other Fluxo I tried? It vaped like a sock (same wicky taste as if the VG wasn't wicking right) no matter which rotation I tilted it at. That's the weird part!

Been Vaping under a rock all this time?

Almost......and I really mean ALMOST, wish there was a school of Vaping. Maybe then you could find answers to Questions you don't understand enough to ask.

There is a school of vaping and it's right here. The classes are totally voluntary, there isn't a degree system (not really), all teachers are also students, and there is no graduation to knowing all there is to know (as all intellectual pursuits should be, and are to those who comprehend the essence of the pursuit of knowledge, and wisdom). :)

What's with all these "cleaning up the mess" deleted posts. I was out (actually in, having an afterparty) and it feels like I've missed a lot...

(I wrote another post above that explains my purpose of this thread, in a very polite way that I think many people will understand).

On a side note, Cisco emailed me and said that while they can't disclose the type of wire that they use for the Ciscos, they said that they do use that same wire for their pre-wound coils meant for RDA's, which are wound using a drill bit-type method (which I find to be very quality-standard) but, by terms of small spacing, aren't microcoils.

Will be reviewing these! They even come in 3.0ohms!

(P.S. Little does Cisco seem to know that they say that their pre-wound coils are NICHROME on the webpage. Appearantly I like NiChrome and it may be why I loved older model vaping!)

Beautiful devices, but I see no Kayfun :) (I got mine recently, and I have admit that I have an unhealthy obsession with it :) )

This:
Killer Atomizer (Killer 705 clone) by Rainbow
Plus This Tank:
X8 Carto Tank 3.0ml with Fill Port and Base Carto Secure Knob [gv-X8CartoTank] - $15.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Properly built with a simple 1.8ohm Res/no Res coil and wick Will hands down out perform anything you have owned. It can last for years with simple maintenance and Handle any ratio of e-liquid including 100% VG.
And before you babble on about silica wicks - Your Fluxomizers run silica wicks.

In my opinion, that inexpensive setup(over time) is as good as some, no - many, $100 plus tanks that people praise.
It easily competes with my Ithaka's and Kafun type Tanks. All of which I am 100% satisfied with.
These type of devices can soak up enough e-liquid to keep stupid things like dry wicking from ever happening. All you have to do once set up is Feed and occasionally clean/re-wick.

Thank you for the device recommendations, I believe those devices really point to what could be really hindering my vape - for instance, the carto tank doesn't give me a lot of control. I've been trying to primer puff it, to see if it'll "moisten up" a little bit, something to really boost that flavor, but the airflow is indeed so loose that no bubbles are really forming upon primer puffing, I can't get it to do so until I slap my airflow controller on, which because of some weird defect, the air-flow controller completely cuts off the airflow to the cartotank, even when wide open, so it's an annoying process to put it on and take it off just for a primer puff.

The first few experiments on building and getting other things to work better, it'll be with my new vaping buddy at the shop! Then, it's wide open from there what I can buy, if I get those standard results I'm looking for. No telling what all I'll try lol.

(P.S. For those that didn't see, Cisco just alerted me that I may be sensitive to Kanthal and not NiChrome, as appearantly, they use NiChrome.)

If I am indeed sensitive to Kanthal, all my theories all along made sense, because hey, Kanthal could possibly give off that sort of offputting flavor I hate, and when Kanthal heats the silica particles that to me feel dusty and usually "relate" to the bad flavor, then it's probaby because the Kanthal is "cooking" a certain chemical onto the silica particles, effectively making me taste the particles. This "cooking" would be diminished on a VG blend, because of the temperature effect VG gives, so while the VG would cause the coil to install less chemicals on the silica dust, I would still "feel" the silica dust in a clean way, like I did on the first tank of the VG Fluxo.

Explains it all. Perfect scientific sense.

I just need a real, non-biased scientist to say wether a heated coil, to certain temperatures, has the ability to "coat" a silica particle with a certain chemical, wether oxidation chemicals, gunk chemicals, or what. It'd explain the entire series of my theories all along, and actually would prove me to be one of the premier geniuses in the vaping world for discovering a feature of vaping that no one across it's timeline has been able to correlate.

I doubt that'll happen, but I can wish :p.

(P.S. I do know the truth as to why users get mad at me - people simply don't want vaping to look unsafe. I don't want that either! But if there's a consistent flavor across a series of devices using Kanthal wire, that I can personally taste, then it is indeed in our vapor (wether you can taste it or not) and not only for myself, I want the safest vapor for everyone here.)

I mean, what if for some odd reason NiChrome ends up being a healthier vape decades down the line? Wouldn't we all want to know? Less people are allergic to it, after all. And maybe there's something healthier or better tasting than the two of those? I think that's what experimentation and dedicated tests and dedicated research (like I at least try to my best ability to do) is all about!

Limited possibility, but not likely. Some can tell, or claim to, the difference but none complain of Nasty sock type taste. This seems to be a dry heated air issue mixed with taste sensitivity. A harshness that may be effecting saliva glands in the mouth.(yours anyway)

To get the Carto tank to prime a bit - with ease:
Place your hand around the base of the tank to stop air flow. Take a a few draws. You should notice increased resistance. You do not necessarily need to see bubbles for e-liquid to transfer. Rely on the FEEL of the draw - maybe a bit of gurgle.
If you get a gurgle, just take a longer light draw to clear. if you accidentally flood it pop the tank off and blow lightly to push excess out the 510 connection. Wipe and go.

See, I tried that, and this device refuses to gurgle in the least. They're like, the two least floody cartotanks in the universe. Gurgle sounds are my best friend, it's always been that way, but these two tanks, they're fighting me!

*Edit - FINALLY I GOT IT TO MAKE A SOUND. However, it did lead to flooding =/. And this particular carto, I believe it's faulty, because even when not flooded (and making popping and cracking noises out the wazoo - which I seriously think it's from the polyfil because it's so loud) it produces not much vapor at even 4.8ohms! It's not powerful enough for me to even try to correct some the flooding just by vaping.

Some juice got in my mouth, but the vapor flavor might be a little better. With these, I'm really at a midline on them. I'm really going to have to dive into the tricks and see what all works for these little things.

I vape 3.3 or 3.7 volts with 1.8, 2.2 or 2.4/5 heads in EVODS, T3s, iSmoka, SMOK ARO clearos and Joye CCs. If I'm not getting popping, there's something wrong and its usually a partially flooded atty which changes flavor and lessens vapor. I seldom have a problem with 70/30 but do quite a bit with 50/50. I just blow out the head and add a bit of distilled water which brings the popping back along with the flavor and vapor. The water helps it wick better. It has happened so often with 50/50 that I usually just add distilled water when filling the clearo or add it to the juice in the bottle depending on its size to prevent it happening. I've been at it so long that I don't really measure anymore but I add probably around 5% which really doesn't affect flavor or nic strength that much as I buy pretty high flavor/nic and dilute it to my liking anyway.

Well, see, across all those devices, my finding has been essentially that if the coil is flooded (but only very partially flooded - something the very unique Fluxomizer design helps me accomplish) that the vapor, to me, is the cleanest of all the vapor I've gotten on the wiring that these coils use. Anything that "pops and cracks" like an atty is indeed supposed to do, it delivers a strong taste of either the Kanthal or Kanthal-infused-ish silica particles (which are indeed in vapor, and are in vapor in a high amount with tanks that are dusty with tons of shiny silica particles upon light inspection AND when a coil is running a little to dry or has a hotspot). Essentially, because of my sensitivities, I seem to have to flood a device to get it to taste clean, while a properly working device, because of either the silica or coil, tastes awful.

Scientifically, the properties of chemistry, physics, and combustion properties (say, heat being able to coat silica particles with the chemical products or oxidation chemicals of wiring at a certain temperature) seems to add up in the way that I learned it, but only if, and specifically if, the temperatures required for this bad effect fall into hotspot/dry coil range. The reason vaping would have this unique ability is that silica is temperature-resistant, so it is a solid matter, a dust particle, that has the ability to be coated with a chemical. It is not a gas or a liquid.

And studies do prove that silica particles are in our vapor, I've seen the studies and the microscopic, photo-proved results. I've even gotten the results in my own mouth! If something feels dusty, it feels dusty. Both cotton and hemp give off "bigger" or "higher amounts" of that dust on a bad or dry or too hot coil, I've proven that in my own tests too, and scientifically, because those compounds are organic and less heat resistent, it makes sense too.

A) the popping is Not the filler, just the juice/coil action
B) You missed a step on Flooding - remove and lightly blow out - wipe with tissue.
Also remove any liquid on the battery connection.
You should then be able to get a full flavor - full vapor response.
Personally I like Boge XL 2 hole Cartos, but everyone has their choices.
Still, the killer 705 is much more friendly for wicking.
