Okay, so for the past week I have come to a decision on a few of my tanks systems, one of them being the Vivi Nova. It appears that though many people seem to have lots of varying issues with them, many others love them and wouldn't go a day without one.

Ok, so Here We Go: Do you... Love It As-Is, Think it Needs Improvement, Hate It, or are you Undecided?

Feel free to post WHY you've come to the decision that you made with it, and what other *alternatives* you may be using!

:vapor:Thanks for Voting!:vapor:

I wish I could change my vote. I voted I love it, but after thinking about it.....well, I have pretty much had no problems with it, but.....I think the flavor is muted as it is with Stardusts, so it's not my favorite delivery system. But, I think it's a heck of a lot better than Stardusts. I prefer cartomizers which makes me think I might like a DCT system, but...I use all VG juice, so I've been a little leary of buying yet one more thing that doesn't work well with a high VG content juice. So, I really feel it could use improvement.

Boge cartomizers were 100% better when they were good then this POS. But it's all I have now. Frankly, I would get great joy pitching it against a brick wall with all my strength. I'm also going through double the juice I was before. These things are a pain in the ....

I just want to quit at this point. Vaping is way too much frustrating for me now.

Anything can use improvement but as far as a easy to use tank system that reasonably priced and cost practically nothing to maintain if you build your own coils I think it's awesome. I hated the V1 because of the muted flavor but don't get any flavor loss at all with my 2.5 or Mini. No leaks, no gurgle, no dry hits, they just works and works well.

Reading this thread I wondered if High VG mixes don't wick well enough for the device? I think voters should add the mix % for PG/VG to see if there is a correlation between satisfaction and thickness of fluid. I'll be getting a Vivi Nova soon and I will chime in with some tests. I'm thinking 100%PG 75/25 50/50 25/75 100VG, you know see what the difference is.

I have some 100% VG Boba's and Gorilla Juice left from before the move. My Stardusts were horrible about wicking them. Now that the site is re-opened, I'm going to try them on my novas and see. I've thrown 50/50, 60/40, and 80/20(samples), and they've wicked well.

The attys need work. If they improve them I would change my opinion. Even the 2.8 runs too hot. I can't run any of the attys at more than 3.2V. That is a problem. They don't last me more than 3 days even with a vodka soak twice in that period. Dry burning made them taste awful. I also wish it was easier to change out an atty with a full tank.

I will say they are a nice evolution, if they improve the attys so they at least don't burn so hot that would help. I would also like to see a glass version.

It's been long enough now that I will comment- I agree with you wholeheartedly on this... The coils get WAY too hot at a very low voltage, even though they do meter at the specified resistance (i.e. 2.8 ohm coils are indeed 2.7-2.9 ohms, which is acceptable). Part of the reason they get the burnt taste so quickly is because the leads heat up and melt the rubber gasket at the bottom of the coil.

I started this poll with the intention that it be as unbiased and neutral as possible- after owning two of these units, I just couldn't figure out how so many people could possibly be enjoying them- I mean, they're utter pieces of crap! Their upside is superior build quality compared to other chinese-made goods, but even then, it is not an excuse for poor engineering and faulty design work.

Long story short, I wanted to know for sure that it was a statistically significant percentage of our population that liked these things, and not just a bunch of mindless sheep-fanboys out there touting these horrible tanks. So far the results are promising that there ARE sane people who like them, but it's far from over yet.

I love them BUT......

First thing I do is pull the silicon top off and inspect the coil.
Usually, the cotton/paper/whatever cup that goes around and under the coil is twisted and touching the coil, so I tear most of that out and throw it away. Then I look at the actually coil. The "bad" heads always have the coil wound too tight. I space the coils out so there is a physical gap between coils and then reassemble.

THEN they are perfect.

I run these 3.2 ohm heads at 4.5V on the Vmax (around 5.5V on a normal VV) and the one that I use ~6ml a day in has lasted for the last 5 weeks.

I never succeeded to vape on a Vivi Nova without having this burnt taste half of the time. This device is definitely not what I like vaping on. I prefer DC tanks, (not the Chinese ones, but the Lil'mama and vaperfexion tanks, and also a Portuguese tank, the KM tank, I love it!) These devices are a bit less user friendly than the Vivi Novas when it is about filling them up with juice, but at least to me they are reliable devices when you suck a puff on them, of course when the cartomizer is a good one! ;)
