Hey All I am very sad I didn't get my new chassis yet:( Did you guys that got your chassis already get an e-mail or a notification of some sort? if so I haven't even got one of them yet..?? I can't wait to get my Vmod working again because it is the best carry around PV I have found... On another note I just broke down and bought some of the 14250 batts to try out once I get my new chassis in sounds like I may like it from time to time:)

I too was in Irenes path and we are doing fine here we lost power for about 3 hours latnight and have had a ton of downed trees and branches but that is about it. It did however take me almost half the day to clean up my front yard:( And I coouldn't even begin to worry about the back yet... I hope the rest of the folks in Irenes path fair as well as we did here:)

Glad you and yours made it thru Irene okay... Thank goodness none of those trees or branches came crashing thru your house!

Been using the VMOD w/ new Chassis most of the night now and put through about 5ml worth of thinner VG. So far no leaking at all, I do not even see any juice in the catch cup and I have overfilled a couple times. I will be trying some progressively thicker juice as time goes by.

So far though on one day, the new chassis is working flawlessly. :)
Very pleased Vapage got this out to us.

I did get an email a few days ago saying it was on its way and I got it today! Haven't had a chance to deal with putting in the catch cup thingy...anyone have better pics for putting it in?? The pic in the directions was a bit lacking.

Just checking in... THE NEW CHASIS IS AWESOME- no leaks, vapes great!

As far as the 'hurricane'- by the time it reached Long Island- it had lost alot of power- it was down to a tropical storm. Some gusts were pretty strong, , lights flickerd a dozen times, but nothing like Hurricane Gloria back in the 80s (3 days no power!). People along the shore got flooded, but overall, we escaped the full force!

I guess I need to attempt the catch cup- but there absolutely no leaking anywhere after ~ 24 hours of vaping

OK- I am NOT a teacher but I'll try my best at a catch cup tutorial.
First thing to realize is there is an indent or depression in the VMod that the cup will drop into, you are not simply trying to squeeze the cup under the wire. To insert the cup, it must go IN and DOWN at the same time.

1. Make initial cut down the side of the cup (do not cut the bottom: as stated in the included directions) Pic 1
2. Optional: make a mark on the catch cup where the cut is, it may help you to see the cut once the cup is inside the VMod (pic 2 has an enhanced line for visual purposes).
3. **KEY** Don't try to push the cup in, yet! Lay the cup in the VMod with the slit facing directly toward the fire botton Pic 2. In other words with you looking at the VMod with the battery compartment on the left, the slot in the cup should be at 9:00.
4. I used a small jewelers screw driver pic 3.
5. Place screwdriver into the cup , pointed down as far as it can. pic 4
6. in one motion- gently and slowly press down AND in while lowering the angle of the screwdriver (pic 5 shows final position of screwdriver)

I have done this twice- one time I got really lucky and the wire popped into the slit and I was done. The other time I could see that the slit in the cup wasn't directly under the wire. To line it up- take your screw driver and gently press down (like in picture four) and slide the cup clockwise or counter clockwise until the wire is in the slip. (This is where the marking at the cut line may also help.) You can double check for correct positioning by pressing the front lip of the cup down, so you can see the back end of the slit

Lower ohms give more heat on fixed voltage.

Attys can last a day, a week, or months. Hard to give a concrete #.

oh man!!! really need to know whats the difference between a 1.5 and 2.0 hybrid from vapage
& also the life spent of the atomizer!

any kind soul enlighten me pls?

Catch cup? You got the catch cup in? I'm such a catch cup doofus.

I have been vaping my new VMOD without it with no probs. The only "problems" I have had were the few people who don't get vaping... yet. That will change :) I will see to that.

I hear a song in my head... "I fought the law and the law won"

The catch cup and I are not friends. And I am getting frustrated spending time on it. It just appears to me that there is simply not enuf room to slide much of anything underneath. Great tutorial tho, proax, thanks! Hopefully others will have an easier time with this.

i got my new chassis on saturday with no email notice . the new chassis and gaskets are great. no leaks what so ever not even any juice around the atty above the large gasket . when i would take off the cone i would have juice all over the atty and now there is none . i am real happy with the new vmod they have done a wonderful job . i did install the catch cup but in my opinion it is not tall enough to serve the purpose it was intended for . all i need now is a smaller venturi and i will be all good .
