While I was out of town, an email came from my Prodigy V1. He decided it was time to come out of the closet and is coming home. He could arrive any day. I've already got a place ready for him and any friends he decides to bring. I'm okay with it. After all, he could always adopt a little V2 someday. I'm worried since I missed his original email, he might think I don't care.

It is a good cause-no cheap plastic parts to throw away every other week! American ingenuity is back! Usually stuff is invented in US and then manufacturing goes overseas-this time the opposite is true!

sounds like you need some of these automatic wire strippers.

Ive stripped over 300 wires in just a few hours building racecar wire harnesses using these. one of the best 50 bucks ive spent when it comes to stripping wires.

the 20g is no problem ... except we are talking about lengths at 1.5" each ... with .5" stripped ... we can't really use something heavy duty per say ....

How do you think they would do on USB cable? roughly 12g when everything is combined I believe ... it would have to strip the insulation ... wire mesh ... foil mesh ... and clear wrapping before we even saw actual wire ... then have to trim the data cables, then strip power/ground.

I have used them to strip as much as 1.5" of 20g mainly because i prefer to over strip the cut down to size before soldering. I have also used them to strip bundled/shielded cables just like USB cable no problem and it does a great job of taking the sheathing off the without nicking any of the inner wires.
