ZOFRYER!

Welcome to the Waiting Room!
I'm almost a little surprised to see you here...I had you pegged as a rabid Janty Stick devotee...no offense, though, I use and enjoy my Janty Stick (manual, V1) all day long right alongside with my TECC 510.

Yet, I can't wait to get me mitts on that 5 volt nirvana (order #17048).:D
Mmmmmm...black powder coat...

Golly, what a great opportunity for a long-winded and mostly pointless TLDR. Here goes:

I'm a rabid whatever works devotee. At the moment, I've used and loved the j118/vx2, 510/Dura-C, and the Stick. Stick is my hands down favorite, Dura-C is my favorite out-and-about, vx2 was my favorite mouth-dangler when using both hands for hours on end because of how well the auto-batteries work. I've since donated most of my j118/vx2 stuff to co-workers trying to quit smoking, and just use vx2 carts (I'm sorry, the standard 510 cart is stupitarded) and occasionally vx2 auto-batteries on the dura atty since they fit and work great. Honestly, I don't see much performance difference between the j118 and 510 atomizers, and my j118/510 hybrid choice was made mostly based on the 510 being very standard.

I felt it was time to try hi-volt, experimented with mods, nearly burned my house down, and picked the Prodigy V1 after many positive reviews, and confirming that be112's would work ok. The reasoning is that flavor is mattering more to me than nicotine, and I do see myself lowering the nicotine levels and wanting more flavor. 5v seems to be the sweet spot for high flavor. If Janty makes a 5v Stick, I'll be all over it because I think the Stick design is superior to anything made. At this moment I'm thinking the modular Prodigy system is the best high voltage design, and curiousity has me. I had been fence sitting for a while, and I think Spikey's vid review is what finally sold me. Throat hit with zero nicotine is pretty impressive.

EDIT: I did initially try red dragon cartomizers, and absolutely hated them. So it's not like I love everything I try. I'm not a huge fan of fruit flavored e-juice either.

Zofryer,

We are pretty much on the same page, although I've never tried a VX2.
Janty Stick obviously kicks the 510 on battery life, but I've gotten comfortable swapping my 510 batteries back and forth, so at my desk anwyays, it's not a big issue. 801 cartridge capacity stomps the 510.

I am often torn on which PV's *performance* I enjoy the best. I really do always have both of them at hand, loaded with the same juice. At times, I enjoy the 801 JS's flavor, and at times I prefer the 510's throat hit. Bottom line: I like having both of them at hand, I enjoy their differences. Sort of like having two kids: they are completely different people, yet one would be hard-pressed (and callous!) to say "I like that one better all of the time." The one thing I do *not* appreciate about the JS is the leaking that I've seen (probably due to user error) down between the atty and the battery connector--and I wouldn't even mind the leaking if that area was not so bloody hard to access without splitting the case.

I have *no* bloody idea how my line-up will sort itself out once the Prodigy joins the team. I'm an intrigued to give the Prod a run with both the 801 and 510 attys, but if I were a gambler, I would bet that I will settle on the 801 with the Prodigy. Sooner or later, I'm going to have to share the wealth with my still-smoking spouse, so splitting up the team between two captains will only serve to complicate things further.

Ah, the possibilities, the possibilities...

Don't even get me started on custom liquid blending and flavor tweaking...;-)
BTW, the only fruit flavored liquid that I can say that I've liked is peach (I've never met a peach pie I could say no to).
I usually stick to warm flavors (tobaccos, coffees, vanilla, spice, nuts, chocolates).

Time to settle in for the long haul.

lol ... my hands can only take soooo much stripping of wire each day before they become raw and useless ...

Steve, are you going to have a 4th of July get-together with friends and family? How many extra pairs of hands will that be? I suggest something playful:

"Guys, lets play a game! It's called "strip the wires."

:D

If anybody deserves a holiday, its the PS team. I would imagine that Mrs. Cash will forbid anyone to even mention PV's over the long weekend.

Zofryer,

Being dead honest, the be112 throat hit with beci blank carts completely and utterly destroys any throat hit I've ever had from any juice out of any 510 ever as of today. And I'm confirming this with both Janty Stick, and out of the cheap as sin 801 USB 21 dollar beci kit. I don't see any reason to keep a 510 anything after today, and will probably be donating my batts and atty's to co-workers tomorrow. Not kidding.

EDIT: There's a drunken caveat. Drunken because my brain wouldn't have worked this way sober. I, completely unintentionally, put the same effort I put into a hardcore 510 draw into a draw off a be112 with flue in it versus a dura-c. See, you don't USUALLY put the same effort into it because you don't *have* to for the same level of vapor production. Try it. The 801 is simply, all around, a much better atomizer. If you suck just as hard on a be112 as you normally do on a joye or Janty 510, the throat hit will knock you on your .... Try it.

Cool beans!

I just received a batch of stainless BE112's and matching carts (rubber condom, no big clunky white cap) from my very first Best ECig order. I admit to being a bit confused by all of the talk about different 801 attys (high/low bridge) and carts (short/long, ridge/no ridge). I've heard good things about Best's hardware, so just decided to do a binge order from Beci.

The two 801 atty's I have in rotation on my JS are still doing well (one high- and one low-bridge, origin long-forgotten), so I am giving them a run to allow them to peter out before I break out the BE112's.

You're a better man than I am: I'm not giving away my 510 (my first love) parts *yet*, although I am fairly sure that the be112 on the Prodigy will rock my world. The only thing I've given away was a double starter kit of of 401 early on that I tried for about an hour before deciding that my 510 mercied it.

My PT shipped out on Saturday. I was really hoping it would have made it to me today. I think tomorrow will be my lucky day.

Mine shipped Sat too. With the tracking update last night I should get it today pending any postal/natural disasters or mishaps. Fingers crossed for you. :)

Retraction: Must have been the lowenbrau. The throat hit between the be112 with beci carts and 510 using the same juice is very "similar", but I'm still giving a slight nod to the 510. Plus, it's work getting that throat hit with the be112. More work than getting it with the 510.

I haven't found any models yet that I'd give any difference to on throat hit. I think it has more to do with draw technique. I can get a 901 to perform as well as any 510, 401 or 801. Just have to change up the draw. I use where I'm going to use it to decide which model to take at any given time. I've loaned out tons, but I've only given away a couple 401s.

(Sung to the tune of The Waiting, by Tom Petty)

Babe, I wish I had my Prodigy now.
If it doesn't come soon I'm gonna scream.
Yeah, I've never vaped something quite like this.
God, I hope I never want to smoke an analog again.
When the postman finally comes, I'm gonna tackle him and then,
rip the package up and start dripping Riskee Juice, my friend.

Then I'll be VAPIN! vapin! VA-A-AY-PIN!

The waiting is the hardest part,
cause postal service workers drive really slow cars.
I bet instead of working, they're drinking at the bar.
The wa-aiting is the hardest part.

Yeah, order number Seven Million finally shipped,
and I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve.
The next day I went and put the tracking number right in,
It said ship info recieved and to please check back again.
Then they went home early Friday with my Prodigy locked in.
Now it won't come until Monday, cause it's July 4th weekend.

So I'm not VAPIN! vapin! VA-A-AY-PIN!

The waiting is the hardest part.
cause government employees don't work very hard.
I guess I'm at their mercy, they'll never get fired.
The waiting is the hardest part.
