I'm really on the fence about this as far as what I would recommend.

Half of me wants to echo zuzette's post in it's entirety.
And half of me wants to echo Renrav's post in it's entirety.

Though the chocolate flavor ejuice, tends to suck...least I never found a good one.
Have you tried the Halo Belgian Cocoa?

Halo Belgian Chocolate - FTW!

I understand the OP's point ....but she is an adult and it just might be to fight off the smoking demons. You could easily try the no nic juices in yummy flavors....and if the need arises a low nic option would probably keep her from wanting an occasional smoke.

I think what others have said is right on point though - even those who have successfully quit smoking - always want one. vaping would at least stop the hand/mouth urge.

I appreciate the input, I really do. I hope I didn't come off sounding like I have to give her permission to vape. It's not like that at all. When we discuss something, we try to bring up all the pros and cons and get it all out there. It helps both of us. She's bouncing the idea off me, and I'm bouncing it off ECF. Good info so far. I appreciate the links, I'll show them to her when she gets home later.

I don't know. This is a tough call. After smoking for 20 years, I quit cold turkey for 8 years and then went back to smoking for the past 10 years or so. I could kick myself. If vaping were around back then, it clearly would have been better for me but I'm still not so sure an addiction to vaping is all that great of an idea long term, either. I'm working my way down to 0 nic and then want to curb my vaping. Hoping to learn to do other, even more healthful and productive things than vaping, whenever I get the urge for a smoke. Like maybe go for a walk or something. Which writing this makes me know that I need to start doing that sooner than later. Will start tonight limiting how much I vape.

I see a lot of people kinda overstepping a boundary on their opinions here... Obviously if she is asking your opinion then she may be worried herself. It doesn't sound like this is her asking permission. Us cig addicts (former) know how it feels to want a cig, no matter how long it has been since we quit. I say go for it. Worse comes to worse, y'all share some nic. E-juice down the road. I can't see someone dedicated enough to quit for 6 years dropping and buying a pack cuz she likes a sweet juice. Cigs taste horrible.. If the nic cravings come back somehow, you have the supplies to keep in vaping and not in analogs.

She may be embarrassed to admit (even to herself) that she has the urge to smoke again.

If she's going to do something, it would certainly be better to vape than smoke, and 0 mg may satisfy the urge well enough to keep her off analogs. If that works, I say go for it. Even if she has to go to a low 6 mg nic level to avoid analogs, that's fine and it's far easier to quit than cigs are from what I've noticed so far.

I've found that even a "bad" chocolate (really, is there any such thing as bad chocolate? I think not!) can be smoothed and made much very palatable with a little vanilla. One I got as a test order tastes more like baker's chocolate, but the sweeter vanilla helped it out a lot.

My Dad is a major chocaholic and was a pipe smoker for many years. He quit smoking years ago but when I quit and started vaping we talked about the benefits of low dosage nicotine. Studies have shown it to be beneficial in regards to Alzheimer Disease and as Alzheimer runs rampant on my Dad's side of the family we thought at his age light use of nicotine couldn't hurt plus he has always missed the comfort of holding a pipe in his hand. We will often sit and talk after dinner while we vape (I cook for him 5 nights a week and take it over to his house and have dinner with him), it is a nice way to spend time together.

I bought him a e-pipe, set him up with a chocolate cinnamon e-juice at 3mg and he has really cut back on the chocolate he eats. He vapes primarily right after dinner and will vape occasionally when he has a chocolate attack. He is really happy with the results.

I don't see any real disadvantage to your wife vaping a zero nicotine chocolate juice. In fact I would say it would be nice if the two of you could enjoy the hobby together, I know if I quit and my mate quit but vaped I would be rather jealous.

couldn't agree more! this post made me :)
