At the moment I'm vaping a Derringer clone dripper on an iStick 50 with a 2 ohm coil at 18 watts. Am I a modwomper or a tootle puffer?
I would say you qualify....let me hold a conference

I had a sleep study done. When I told them I don't dream they told me everyone does. In the morning she told me, "You were right, you don't dream. You started to once and immediately woke up.". I woke up 46 times that night

I don't have sleep apnea. I have insomnia and alpha/beta interference which means every time I enter deep sleep I wake up.

I like not dreaming though. Whenever I do, it freaks me out.

Having no experience with CPAP, I do understand it however, but I ask if it is like taking an open air ride, such as a motorcycle or sticking your head out the car window at a moderate rate of speed to create a certain amount of constant pressure or forced air pressure to the airways?View attachment 466874
I think it might depend on the type of mask. I use one that covers my nose. Some cover the mouth and nose, and some just go in the nostrils. You don't really notice the air pressure unless you try to talk, or until it kicks in full power, but you're supposed to be asleep by then.

Interesting...I think:lol:.... I just assume that since they are a constant air pressure device/machine that it would be similar or close to sticking your face into the wind at moderate speed. I remember when I rode cycles and drove rather spirited it actually could take your breath away from to much force.

In reality I may have asked a silly question as the force or pressure could not be too high or the lungs would not be able to exhale if the force incoming is greater.

I am just trying to experience what it is like to use one without actually doing so!:)

now I know i don't need to get tested. My wife says that I should because I snore, but hey it doesn't bother me
I just think she likes to nag.

LOL

I encouraged my wife to go have the screening done. She used to snore sometimes but the worrying part was she would sometimes stop breathing long enough to scare me.

Our dog snores, but doesn't stop breathing. I'm good with that :smokie:

I agree, me either! I would never sleep and I would be taking notes studying them while they study me!View attachment 466931

If you don't fall asleep within half an hour, they drug you.

It does suck. They attach 5 million electrodes to you. Your hair is filled with goop.

Good grief, is this not the worst? I'll take a million sleepless nights from snoring over that. I go into a near panic when my girl just... stops breathing.

When I had mine many, many years ago I couldn't fall asleep for a couple hours. never drugged me, Wish they would of. When they finished my test they said the Dr would call in a couple weeks with the results, 2 days later got a call to come in right away to get my cpap. My numbers were really bad.

They drugged me :D They warned me ahead of time they would if I didn't fall asleep on my own. And of course they know you're awake because they see your brain waves.

I thought REM sleep was basically the only type that mattered as far as getting any meaningful sleep is concerned. I hope this doesn't affect you too much roxy.

I like not dreaming though. Whenever I do, it freaks me out.

I haven't remembered any of my dreams since I was a kid but I think I dream pretty regularly. I used to like what I could remember of some of them, and some not so much. Maybe it's better that I sleep through them now

Yup, it has scared me. Laying there thinking 'come on, breath!!' is not a good way to lull yourself to sleep peacefully!

I'm sure its not good, but I have been this way since I was a young teen. I don't know what normal sleep is.

My last ex had apnea. He would snore, stop breathing, then start failing around. Not only did I worry about him not breathing, his snoring was awful, and then I would get punched and kicked. He chipped my front tooth. He refused to do the sleep study or get the CPAP. Mostly I ended up downstairs on the couch trying to get whatever crappy sleep I get.

My wife never mentioned me stopping breathing until after I was diagnosed. I know it happens but I seem to be a light sleeper so I don't get to the point where I flail. I believe I had something like 45 episodes per hour.

On the plus side, I fall asleep almost instantly when I lay down.
