Yes. Titled SX330_iPV3Li_T_200W...so on and so forth. No clue what else to do
After your connected you go to the second page of the SXI program and there one of the tabs lets you select the file to upgrade. Select it the the other tab does the actual upgrade.

Sorry slow to respond, talking to a lawyer about that medical fiasco i went thru

The upgrade tab is where I run into the problem, I select the file I downloaded then the upgrade button is greyed out and there is red lettering under it with the message The file unsupport undefined. No worries @chopdoc I'm browsing the wrangler forums do your thing, I appreciate your input.

My daily was a 9 pack of 16oz.'s or more. Today is day 4 of breaking that habit, I know that's not a milestone by any means but I had been drinking that much for years. One day at a time but I already feel much better I will miss my old friend.

It just occurred to me... if today is day 4... that means the 14th is your sobriety date? Same as mine. :D :thumb:

That error message means that you did not install the driver. Assuming that the firmware update application is the same that comes with the SX Mini M Class, on the "Connection" tab there should be two buttons, "Install Driver" and "Connect".

Haha nice I'll have to try and keep it going till next year and we can celebrate! :headbang:

One day at a time. Today, you don't have to drink. Tomorrow can take care of itself. ;)

(I HAD to use the one-day-at-a-time approach because the very idea that I'll never have another beer... makes me want a beer!!! Or twelve!)

Sounds familiar I have "quit" several times and never has taken even jail couldn't convince me. This time it's not me deciding it's my liver I've been having a sore feeling there for about the past week or so (I have an appointment) and I think it's either drink or die at this point. Luckily I am not having any other symptoms from it. And I just wanted to say hearing your stories have given me hope and I appreciate your openness and honesty about it. :) Plus there is something sadly ironic that I can't stomach if I go through all this vaping stuff to save my life and then kill myself drinking.

Back to your regularly scheduled vape programming. :p

I've abit of a problem myself. With alittle push from the State of New York and alot of AA its been awhile.

I am a big proponent of AA and I believe the magic is in the rooms. Not the people in the rooms but the rooms. I can go to a meeting anywhere at anytime and get what I need. So I won't give you the innerweb version cause I don't think it works.

But what I do wanna say is every so often I get to thinking I'm all better. Its been many thousands of 24 hours and I never think of drinking. But what I do think of is the crazy crap that I think which leads me to a drink. Alcohol is my solution not my problem. And by reading of your struggle its reminds me that I haven't been to a meeting just recently. See thats kinda how it works, we all help each other. The theory behind AA is that while we still have bad days we don't all have them on the same day. You help me, one day I help you and so on.

Other people just quit out right, ya never know. Good luck whichever way your journey takes you.

Agreed my plans for today are to work out (for the first time in forever), take the dog for a walk, and rebuild my Reo. That will get me to dinner time then its The Witcher 3 till I pass out with the controller in my hands. That's as far ahead as I have planned. :D

Tomorrow will work itself out. :thumb:

Using 28 gauge Ti I started at 420 deg F in TC mode and slowly worked my way up to 600. Never heated, the wire looks mostly silver but looks like it has some kind of a film on it. If I slide it between my thumb and fingertip it leaves behind a light, black line on my skin. I did not clean that film off the wire. After a couple of hits of power it did not mark my skin anymore. Before the first power up:

By the time I got to 600 F the wire had not glowed yet. Considering the temperature error from Ni, the wire had probably maxed out around 750 F. The color had changed to blueish brown depending on the light. I saw no indication of anything white on it.

I turned off the TC and used the power to control the wire temperature. By the time the wire started to just glow there was some whitening of the wire. I continued without disturbing the wire until I maxed out at 35 watts and I think the wire almost ignited. I did it again and got a shot of it. Note the increase in brightness at the 3 o-clock position. I probably had a couple of minutes of power-on time in the wire by then. When I touched the wire it broke where the hot spot had been and the rest of the wire was so fragile it would break when I bent it a bit. It does not like to be overheated as much as I had!

At that time, this is what I found on the wire:

2cfxqgo.jpg

So I replaced the wire with a new one and set 18 watts at which the wire just starts to fully glow.

You can barely tell the wire is glowing because of the camera flash. Here's a shot without flash:

wmjbd4.jpg

After 4-5 minutes at heat the wire has what I think is a very thin coat of white on it. I tried to crack it or scrape it off with my fingernail and couldn't see anything coming off. It also didn't make a line on my skin being slid between finger and thumb. The wire was still as strong as it was when new.

It seems to me this is TiO2, titanium dioxide. Here's the Wikipedia page on it. It's used as white pigment in paint, sunscreen and UV blocker for us and in industry. The IARC classifies it as 'possibly carcinogenic to humans' when inhaled as a dust. The stuff I got off my coil is not dust and when I try to make it crumble with a fingertip it doesn't turn to powder, it makes something like sand.

Also from the Wiki page:

"The body of research regarding the carcinogenicity of different particle sizes of titanium dioxide has led the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to recommend two separate exposure limits. NIOSH recommends that fine TiO2 particles be set at an exposure limit of 2.4 mg/m3, while ultrafine TiO2 be set at an exposure limit of 0.3 mg/m3, as time-weighted average concentrations up to 10 hours a day for a 40-hour work week.[64] These recommendations reflect the findings in the research literature that show smaller titanium dioxide particles are more likely to pose carcinogenic risk than the larger titanium dioxide particles."

There's a lot more information on TiO2 out there if anyone feels like doing more research on it.

I'm gonna stick to my gentle dry burns :thumb:

Was watching Rip Tripper building a Ti coil and he used a torch to heat the wire so it wasnt so springy. The first coil I tried with Ti was extremely springy so I did it again with a lighter and it made it much more workable. Then I took some rubbing alcohol in a paper towel and wiped the wire down until clean. When I fired them it was only in short pulses to get them hot in order to make them a tight coil. Never got any while stuff off the coil when dry firing it.
Now I am not too sure what I think of Ti and temp control yet. Firing it in the snow wolf with it set at 400 F and 50 watts it doesnt exactly give a dry hit when it goes dry but a scornfulness in the back of the throat is very noticeable.

I made a kayfun lite dripper :D

Yesterday my local B&M gave me three KFL that they had been using as testers. I got bored

I started with this looking at the parts and a thought happened "Achilles"!!!!

So I took one of the top caps and put it on the lathe

Now it fits together like this

It's a little flavor monster :D

Awesome Boden, but what can be done about the very restrictive airflow of the kayfun lite.

Mixed up some Banana Nut Bread juice this afternoon, gave it a couple hours in the ultra sonic cleaner and am now squonking it in the Velocity. Mmmm Mmmm good!
I am really loving the ease of Squonking. All the benefits of dripping without actually having to drip. Whats not to love.

I'm interested in getting a Squanking device for work because i hafta leave my ecig in my truck a lot when im working and the heat makes all my tanks leak.. I'm looking for something like a Reo and a simple cartomizer or something. But the Reo is too pricey atm.. Thinking something around $50 ?
