OMG! I knew Wifey was a whomper (and getting closer to the dark side every day) :) but I have been tootling at 12-14 Watts for ages, but when using the SXmini with nautilus tank, I am seldom ever below 18 Watts. So am I merely a closet Whomper or a... a... um, a "tootle whomper"? ;) (Yes, I have sub-Ohmed, but don't care one way or another - that nautilus is a 1.8-Ohm coil at 18W and the flavor is perfect).

You do fit the bill with your 18 watt vaping so we will leave it up to one of our senior wompers. What ya say lannie, let him join? :D

Thats why the second Arctic I got was the 5ml one! Haven't even bothered with the new Arctic Turbo, really haven't even used any of my Sub Ohm Tanks in a few months.. The Crown and Arctic are my favorite of them out there though..

I could not imagine life without being able to use my Crown daily. Thats my Unicorn Milk (clone) tank and I love it.

Sadly my black IPV4 did it again. Killed the batteries from just sitting in my vape bag for a couple days so into the crap pile it goes and Im done with Pioneer4U. Paid over $100 for it last july and it only last till now, no thanks. Now I need to shop for another mod, preferably one thats will do at least 100 watts but 80 watts ones will be looked at.... Any suggestions yall?

I really like my Eleaf 100W. It's durable, dual battery in parallel. Buttons rattle a little but really no big deal. Since I put a WUD wrap on it they don't do it as much. I also like my SnowWolf 200W Limited. It has the V1.5 firmware. Another solid mod! I'm also looking at the Vaper Flask Stout. That one goes to 100w with TC and uses a 26650 battery. Well those are my suggestions for ya.

OK, but only if he doesn't tease me about my "clouds." (Just because I LOVE this strawberry cupcake juice and when I hit the Lemo or the Aromamizer a few times in a row, the room gets a little foggy... that's no reason to come in waving one's arms and coughing, IS IT?????)

And speaking of Aromamizer, I had an incident the other day where I was getting dry(ish) hits, and when I took the base off, the wick was DRY. The tank was full of juice, but the wick was dry enough I could fluff it with my fingernail. I dropped some more juice on the wicks (there are two coils) to wet them, and let it sit for a while, and it stayed wet. But then when I used it the next time, it started tasting a bit funky again, and then BAM, a really bad dry hit ICK! I took the base off again, and one of the wicks was burned into oblivion. Just the ends were left - the entire middle had been burned up and I inhaled it.

So I took the whole dang thing apart, washed it, dry burned the coils, brushed them off (with a soft toothbrush), re-wicked them, put it back together, filled it up and it's been acting fine now ever since. I can't figure out what I did wrong. Was the one wick either too tight or too loose maybe? But that still doesn't explain why the wicks were DRY. I can't figure it out. I've had this tank for a month and have been using it regularly (every day), and it only acted up that one time, so I assume it was user error. Any ideas? I'd like to NOT make that mistake again, whatever it was!

Just received an email for a sale at thevapestoreonline.com. They have the Eleaf 100w for $32.95. If you use the coupon code cls30 you get it for 30% off $23.06. I just ordered one myself. Sad part is they are in my town but this is online only so I have to pay $7 shipping for something that is in the store 2 miles away unless I spend $75. I hate that crap!!!:-x Bad business as far as I'm concerned!!! Anyway enough ranting.:D

Dang, killed the Batteries just by leaving them in? When I realized I haven't used my Crown In a few months, I realized my Sig 150 & SnowWolf have been sitting there also with the batteries in them for a couple months lol
I took them out the other day and charged them then put them in a case. They seemed fine! Iv been looking into the Sigelei Fuchai 200W, would like to see more reviews though.

Waving the arms, I can see, but coughing??? No way! We went to a local B&M the other night... and at the end of a long day of people vaping their faces off in that store, you can barely see the back wall when you enter -- and it's not a big store! But as totally fogged as that place was, it's not irritating in the least -- you can breathe just fine, and it doesn't sting the eyes. My husband, a non-vaper and non-smoker of cigarettes for about 40 yrs now, non-smoker of ANYTHING for about 3 yrs now, commented on this; that in a room that clouded with smoke, no one would breathe well, and it would burn the eyes terribly, but with vapor, none of that.

It's gotta be one of those little fakey ANTZ coughs. ;)

Most regulated mods will eventually drain the battery.
Some are much worse than others from what I read though. Some may drain the battery all the way down.
And a li battery drained below 1 volt or so is often trash. they can become unstable and melt down if just placed in a regular charger. If recoverable they need to be charged at a VERY low current till the voltage gets up to around 2.5 volts or so.

That sorta thing, a battery draining just by sitting there unused, whether turned on (faster draining) or turned off (slower but still draining), is how I determined that my iStick30 needed to be recycled -- and also partly why the replacement I bought for it (kbox mini) uses external batteries, so that a dead battery doesn't mean a trashed mod.

And speaking of external batteries and such... Last night I charged my iPV Mini's battery with the micro-USB, so I didn't have to take out the battery and possibly score it too. According to the very limited instructions on the little leaflet, shouldn't the charging symbol stay lit up, the whole time it's charging? Mine didn't, though I tried both the cable that came with it, and another one, the Innokin one that came with one of my CF4s. I kept checking on it, and while it still felt warm, I figured it wasn't done charging. I checked it again later and it wasn't warm any longer, so I unplugged it and turned the mod on, and the battery symbol appeared "fully charged." But I was a little concerned that the charging doohickey didn't stay lit up thru the charge cycle, since on the leaflet it says that the battery symbol should appear "full" when charging is done -- it never did.

I thought that most regulated devices have protection in their chips to prevent total drainage?

Iv never tried internal charging on my IPV Mini..
The Batteries I left in my mods barely drained at all, I just topped them off.
Now my first SnowWolf that came on by itself, drained fully charged batteries to 3V in one night, had it replaced after that to the V1.5 and no problems with the new one.

Most do however the circuitry that prevents the draining also draws a tiny bit of current so eventually it will pretty much drain the battery maybe down to maybe .6 volts or so depending on the circuitry. In a well designed circuit/mod this may take months though.

Guess that leaves out most mass produced mods! :D

I have a question for anyone. I've been using SS316L in most of my builds lately and really enjoying them. I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to clean the gunk off them since I remember @Boden saying that it's not a good idea to really dry burn SS. Any ideas? I know he stated a light dry burn but not really sure if that will clean them well enough.

My husband waves his arms around just with my puny little tootle puffs, if we watch TV in the same room. So I've started watching TV in the living room; it's a 27" tube TV instead of a 32" wide-flatscreen, but at least I don't get harassed for thin wispy vapor. :D

Was thinking about the Eleaf 100W but ever since my Istick 50W went into autofire mode two weeks after buying it I was kinda turned off by them. Since then I learned what I bought was a clone so cant really hold Eleaf accountable for that mod so might give them a try. Ebay has them for $40 with free shipping. I have a Snow Wolf 200W and like it but its not practical for on the go type activities. Put it in your shirt pocket and it will turn itself up to 200 watts. Also have the XCube II and thats also not practical for carrying in a shirt pocket. It will fire easily if you lean against anything.
What I will probably do is order a 100W Istick and maybe another Evic or even try the evic mini out. Then I will have an excuse to order another Crown atty to go on the Istick 100 W and use the Evic for one of my STM's :D

Ok so here's the Staple Coil I made. It's .1mm kanthal ribbon with 32ga kanthal wire. It's a .25 ohm. I have to say I'm enjoying this on my Mutation V4 & SnowWolf @ 55watts. The flavor is excellent and the vape is nice and cool. I've taken it up to 85 watts and the vape is much warmer but the flavor is not as good and the nic hit is making me dizzy!:eek:
Here's some pic and yes Boden that's my new Coilmaster 521 Tab:p:lol:
