I gotta get me some of that! :headbang:

Every once in a while we will go out to the bayou's around lake Ponchartrain and catch a ton of blue crabs and have a crab boil. Next time we do I can send ya some of the juice from boiling them. How many gallons ya want! :vapor:

I gave a Kayfun V4 away last night at work. Have a friend who wants to learn how to build coils and I figured the best way to teach her is if she had something to build coils on. She was amazed how 15 watts on a Kayfun blew her mini nautalus away
I took an Orchid V4 and build dual coils on it and tried it on a Telsa Invader. Unbelievable flavor and cloud delivery and no matter how I wick it, it constantly leaks. I can sit there for a week with a full tank and not leak a drip and the moment I start vaping on it I get scalding hot juice on my hand. Part of the problem is poor design. The chimney is just barely long enough to go through the oring on the top cap. With the Orchid V7 they adressed that problem and totally redesigned that part where instead if slipping through the top cap it now screws to it.
When I received my Orchid V7 i was physiqued on it. Build the dual coils for it, wicked it and filled it with some Mothers Milk I picked up just for it. Put it on the Telsa Invader and fired that bad boy up. Just like hitting a dripper. Awsome flavor and the same as the V4, leaked like a sieve as soon as it got hot. Havent touched it since but when I have some time to experiment I want to play around with the wicking and see if I can make them usable. The performance of them is just too good to give up on them.
I have never built an Orchid and always wanted too, I have a Silverplay V1 which has a very similar deck.
With all the different version numbers of the Orchid out there, which version is the best one to get?

The V7 would be the best one in my opinion. A lot of people love the Orchids and claim they dont have any issues with them leaking. I watched a bunch of You-tube vids on wicking them and I haven't had any success yet but still have hope for it. For my V4 I ordered a new top cap that let me fill it from the top but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Thanks chopdoc!
The next time I`m placing an order on FT I`ll add me a V7 to the cart.

I really hate when that happens :grr:

My wife and I both love the fresh beer batter fried yellow Perch that can be had surrounding Lake Erie. We have sometimes made the two hour or so drive up there just for that.
Jolly Rogers in Port Clinton, OH, I make the hour and a half drive at least once a summer for perch

Serious question: do you think a mentally disabled person could learn to use an istick and Nautilus mini? This is for my cousin. Last year she wanted a cigalike, which she never bought. Now she wants an istick.

I would think it all depends on the level of disability, having said that though I have known some disabled people who are very capable of amazing things. My uncle had a stroke when he was in his twenties that left him blind in one eye and with severe paralysis on one whole side of his body but was an amazing woodworker. He kept up with that until he passed so I think anything is possible.

I think that depends on the level of function. Can she maintain and use a mobile phone? The charging and use are roughly the same. Filling the nautilus might be another story though, I've never used a nautilus, are they fairly simple to fill? Are you confident she would only use appropriate liquids?

They are as easy to fill as any other tank really, unscrew the base and fill it just short of the chimney opening.

Try an Ego blisterpack if it works out then she can be moved up to an istick. Just my thought. I live with one mentally disabled woman and her sister who is also legally mentally disabled lives next door....
What type of mental disability? autistic type or psychological problems?

I agree with Reighn and Lessifer. You know her best Roxy and you know what is involved to use that gear safely.

I know two people who have learning challenges. I'm pretty sure one could do it and I'm positive the other would not be able to handle it.
