Hello again Lannie.
The coils for the new Herakles Plus WONT fit the original Herakles, neither will the RBA deck and there are no plans from what Sense have said to make one for the Herakles Plus.
I wish you would try it though with the coil that's installed (0.4ohm) in the Herakles Plus, I have tried many many tanks, coils ect and this is as close to a RDA in terms of flavor I have come across. I cannot stress how good it is but yeah, if you only rebuild then this is probably not for you and it's better to sell it new ect...
Hope that clears it up anyway x
Thanks, LJ and everyone else. I've been in a rush this morning, sorry. She's better today, apparently had something she called a "muscle bleed" somewhere in her abdomen, which was causing the most severe pain she said she'd ever felt. And she's had five kids. She was in there for a COPD "attack" of some sort (she couldn't breathe) and they found pneumonia, and she's 79, so that's serious, and then they found "masses" on her lungs which were mentioned once and not again, so I don't know what's up with that, and then this pain in her belly... but my one brother and sister that still live near her say she's doing a lot better and is either home now or will be soon. Then I guess we'll wait and see what happens. The whole "dying" thing came from my logical, level-headed younger brother, who apparently goes all emotional and drama-king when Mom is sick.
Hopefully, she'll be around for a while longer yet. I'm trying to get my brothers and sis to get some things for her just in case she does have lung cancer, but they're tactfully ignoring me because I'm not a doctor. It's so frustrating. But enough of that.
I just heard from someone else who has one of these Herakles tanks that they just rinse the coil and cotton really well and gently run a pipecleaner inside the coil to dislodge any gunk, then air dry it for a day or so. I guess I can do that until I figure out if that RDA will work, and then get one.

It DOES make it easier when you have a sibling to help. When our mom was dying, my sister and I BOTH took turns taking care of her. It gave us a rest every other week.Sorry to hear about your mom, but glad she's doing better -- but mainly I'm jealous of all your siblings. My parents now are in terrible shape, health-wise -- my mom pretty much confined to a wheelchair, and my stepdad has been since New Years, when he had a bad fall -- and I'm my mom's only kid, and my stepdad just has one daughter, who lives about 100 miles from here. I called my mom yesterday, and she wants to know why she hasn't heard from me since New Years; I told her a) I didn't have anything to say, and b) she's got my number, and call me anytime she needs me. But nooooooooooo, apparently *I* am supposed to call and find out what their needs are.![]()

I'm wishing like mad that my mom had had about 5 other kids!![]()

Well don't vape it over 50 watts then.Hey Rixsta, good to see ya in the Womper room. I picked up a Herakles a couple weeks ago and just didnt like it. Anything over 50 watts tasted burnt on it, even after letting juice sit in it for a day. Even at 50 it was kinda scorched tasting.
My girlfriends family use to always get the gov commodities and I use to like the cheese.Cheese grits (made with government cheese) and biscuits with tomato gravy - any time of day meal at granny's house in the mountains of Tennessee![]()
Try it before you do..Thanks for the info, Rixsta. It's not that I "only rebuild," but I can't afford to keep myself in coils if I can't clean and re-use these. I guess I'll try the rinsing thing, and if that doesn't work, then I'll put it away for maybe sometime when we have more money and can afford to buy quantities of coils for it. It was a contest win, so I wouldn't sell it, but if I can't use it, I'll see if I can find someone to give it to.

I think your warm translates to hot for me.I like a good warm vape. Usually vape at 75 - 90 watts to get that kind of vape.

I'm pretty much the same, that's why I bought the HP because of how they did the top airflow to cool the vape but doesn't kill the flavor, it works pretty well.I think your warm translates to hot for me.
but then people say I let my coffee get cold before I drink it.
I picked up the regular, not the plus one.Hey mate..yeah it's nice to be back on ecf..
Do you mean the original or the plus ?
I've never tried the original but I have vaped the plus 0.4ohm coil up to 110w and never got a dry hit. 70w is the sweet spot for me though, fantastic coil.

Did you see Todds video where he vaped a tank at around 100 watts. Too funny.

I like my coffee steaming hot too!
The few people I let try my vapes out find them too hot and too much vapor for them.
What surprises me is I am running a 24 ga Kanthal coil in my STM at .5 ohms and vaping it at 27 watts gives a pleasant warm vape. Only low wattage tank I still like.
Ahh, pick the plus up, you'll love it.I picked up the regular, not the plus one.
Try it before you do..
0.4ohm coil, bottom AFC open, top closed most of the way, at 70w. Such a good vape. Remember to shut off the coil before you fill it as per instructions. My juice has never tasted so good.
A single coil, vertical, I'd say that might be possible.I will, and thanks for the tips, but I don't have anything that goes up to 70 watts. Another person here on ECF thinks I can rebuild these. Not like they are right NOW maybe, but a single coil. I need to use my coiling kit, right? And once this coil/wick assembly is done for, then I have nothing to lose by trying. First I'll watch a video or three, so I know what to expect.
