Whooeee, you guys were talkative while I was gone! I have some catching up to do!

I haven't heard all their stuff, but there are a few I REALLY like. Mama, In the Air, and crap, what's the one with the heavy drums, GOD I love that one, and can't remember the title...

I don't get that. I mean, if you're PO'd that someone else has something that you think you should have (but don't), why PM them and get all ugly about it? Talk about entitled! I think I might have been accused of being an "entitled whiner" on Neil's thread asking for suggestions about rules for future contests, because I suggested putting a cap on "official" entry posts each day, like some of the vendor contests where you can chat, but you only get a certain number that you date and number each day that will count in the drawing. Because not everyone has the time to sit in front of a computer and post hundreds of posts every day. Like, you know, SOME of us actually have a LIFE. But apparently that made me a "whiner," and I was feeling "entitled" to win something, even if I didn't have to work for it. OK, whatever. Neil ASKED for suggestions, and I gave one.

REVRAH! (Last time I said that, I asked if anyone knew what movie that was from and nobody bit. Anybody wanna try this time? No, there's no prize, just the personal satisfaction of knowing you're as weird as me...)

I never learned any of that in school, either. You know where I learned it? MY MOM. When I was maybe 11 or 12 years old, she started letting me help her with bills and stuff. I wrote the figures in her budget (she had an accountant's columnar pad book she kept all that info in), and even got to write the checks and do the stubs and stuff the envelopes and everything. She signed the checks, of course, but I got to do all the rest, under supervision. ;) When I moved out and got a job and my own apartment at 17, I already knew what to do, and never had a problem. :)

I think I remember that, and completely agree! Also it was mostly during UK time, so none of us were awake or off work etc! :)
Im also glad your little girl is ok. :D

I know there is many people thru no fault of their own have hit hard times and need help. They are not usually the ones who hate. Sure they are upset at events but they just want to get back on there feet and be able to earn and get ahead in life again. And then you have the crowd that overshadows this group who believe they are entitled. The only work they are willing to do is to work the system for every penny they can choke out of it. They hate and whine about corporations, and they hate the rich (anyone with a job who has made a decent life for themselves and their family). If those in this entitled group by chance has a job its usually menial labor job that requires not much more from them but to show up and they think that job should support them in the manner they believe they are entitled to. These are the ones who gladly send hate mail. Just consider the source Rixsta and dont let it bother you. You was successful in life so they hate you anyways.
I don't have much money, and am trying to get on my feet again. But im not some little liberal that wants hand outs, I work! I NEVER "Hate" on someone that is successful for working hard!
I know the people your talking about! :thumb:

I wonder how the TPD will treat squonkers.

Tobacco Products Directive

OK I was watching this and they did bring up TPD. It doesn't really answer it as per the directive but they did put their input on it. I started it from that point. Also they have Dino and Cisco on there and they talk about the new Velocity. They also rank pretty good on each other. Some Funny stuff!

Jup and too many parent's don't teach their kids about that stuff......and especially about credit cards. Mine never did. I did take business math in HS (cuz I totally flunked algebra) but it taught me how to balance a checkbook. Not about credit and the interest etc though.

Oh, yeah, balancing the checkbook, she taught me that, too. I only ever had one business-related class in high school, and it was English for Vocations. The teacher's name was Mr. Vanelli (we called him Vanilla, naturally) and he was a clothes horse. Everything matched. One day he wore white slacks and his boxers had red hearts on them. Did the man never look in a MIRROR? My girlfriend and I had to sit that class out in the hallway as punishment for our uncontrollable giggling. His face was as red as the hearts on his boxers. ;) Anyway, I liked that class because it was about business correspondence, how to write a proper letter, how to FOLD the freaking paper even, and a whole bunch of other stuff that really came in handy once I started working in an office. I flunked the class, though, because I wouldn't go to the beach with Mr. Vanilla for the weekend. Yeah, he was a real winner... I could be a rich woman today if I'd known that I could sue the white pants off of him for that. (Look! I made a joke! LOL!) I tried to tell my mom why I got an F in that class (other classes were all As and Bs) but she only saw me as her teenage daughter. She didn't see me as the slinky tall redhead that Mr. Vanilla apparently saw, so she didn't believe my story. :(

And credit cards? When did they become a "thing?" I don't even think there WERE credit cards until after I was married. Maybe, but if so, just the original MasterCard, and not very many people had those at first. You should have heard me squeak about having to get a DEBIT CARD when those came out! ROFL! I said I had my checkbook and that's all I needed, I didn't want to have a plastic card and have to deal with a machine! The bank said, "Tough, you're having one, and we're charging you $1.50 a month for the privilege." I was so silly. In later years, I couldn't survive withOUT that debit card and those ATMs!

notice towards end of video, they TURN the center bar on the battery cap,
but the cap does not turn (an adjustment ?)
and I can't see how the bottle bottom cap is released ??

Interesting, maybe that is some sort of adjustment, hard to be sure. But I can see how it could be.

It shows it hitting the Firing Button after.. Could it be a locking mechanism that cuts power to the battery somehow?? Idk if that's possible, just throwing it out there...

Edit* I see the firing button gets tapped multiple times, so maybe they stuck with the 5 Clicks.. More Realistic..

yeah parent's trusted teacher and other adults back then. I remember when I was a kid, my dad did have a master card, and maybe a diner's club, not sure, but don't ever recall him using them. They were for emergencies. He was showing me photos in his wallet one time, and I recall seeing them and asking what they were.

Holy cow, I forgot all about Diner's Club! I think maybe THAT was the first one! My mom and dad (when they were still married) had one and used it when they went out for dinner. They got "points" or something every time they used it? I think. Wow, that was a long time ago...
