Wow, you guys are hard core! I'm a big fan of the old school mopeds (like the ones made in the 70s with pedals)... we actually have a moped gang here. My gf has a '77 Foxi. Looks just like this, but it's all chrome:

Nice bikes yall. If I was at home I could post pics of my Dyna and the Honda NX650 enduro I have. I love to strap a tent and a bag on the back of the Dyna and head off for the mountains for a few weeks at a time, but I also like getting dirty with that Enduro. Missus keeps telling me I am gonna break my fool neck one of these days and I tell her then at least i wont have to listen to her nagging any more lol

Id kill myself on that. Even at 50 I still get that wild hair that makes me act stupid on bikes like that. The missus decided to get herself a CB 919 a while back and asked me to go get it inspected. Coming home I had a mile and a half straight away so I opened it up to see what it would do. At 140 the front shocks was fully extended and the front was trying to come up. At 150 I decided to back out of it.
Last year she was whining it wasnt running right so I listened to it and told her to go blow it out. She said she would and rode it to her moms and the way she rode it, she wasnt blowing anything out. She came home still complaining so I told her get my damn helmet. Took it out, wound it up to 9000 rpm and started feathering the clutch thru the gears. Came back and it was purring like a kitten and running perfect but was she grateful.....hell no. lol nag nag nag about how I have a death wish on crotch rockets.

The universe was wise enough to keep me off two wheels until I hit my 30's.

There's lots of old riders.
There's lots of drunk riders.
There's precious few old, drunk riders...

Here's to getting old!

Jay :headbang:

When I was like 7 years old my dad came home with this cool Honda Z-50. Been on bikes ever since. On a dirt bike I can act the fool. Crotch rocket I am an idiot but when I throw a leg over my Harley I am one of the safest riders on the road. I rode a Harley from Louisiana to Utah and back, been across Colorado and Kansas and Missouri on a Harley, Rode the Smokey Mountains and the Gulf Coast of Florida on one. Next year I am thinking of a ride up to Idaho just because I never rode the northern Rockies yet and heard they are beautiful. Throw a bag on the back, strap a tent and a sleeping bag on the bike and I am ready to ride!

I don't own any bikes...

Back in the late 80's when I lived in Toronto, I took an old girlfriend to visit her family in a small town near Ottawa. Her brother had recently bought a Vulcan 400, he asked me if I knew how to ride and if I wanted to check it out. Having driven a three wheel ATV a time or two, I stupidly said that I could. I took the Vulcan out onto the highway where they lived and proceeded to totally scare the bejesus out of myself. The bike was way too fast for me and I knew at that moment in my life that I did not ever want to ride a bike.

When the girlfriend finished her visit, we jumped back in my Berlinetta and headed for Toronto, in comfort. ;)

To me things are so much better on a bike. A few years back was riding the Gila Mountain range in New Mexico and crossed over into Arizona and rode thru Clifton Arizona up thru that mountain range. After cresting the top it was like being slammed by the smell of the aspens. You would never get that from inside of a car. Then we came upon this curve that was on the edge of a mountain and the view was just spectacular. Had to stop, break out the burner and make a cup of coffee to enjoy while taking in the view. Words can never explain the view atop that mountain, Even majestic falls short of describing it. We was going to spend the night on that mountain but lightning set fire to the forest that day and they told us we couldn't so ended up in a camp ground and met a bunch of other bikers who was at a rally that weekend. Had a blast partying with them.

My first whomp tonight!

Finally got around to inspecting and, um, "building" my new-to-me Lemo. Balled up some wire into an irregular mess. Jammed a shred of cotton in it. Amazingly got 2.1ohms and no shorts.

Fired my 18650 tube mod of yesteryear all the way up to 14.5watts (normally doing 7-10w on BCC clearo's). Broke open a new juice for the occasion, some Clockwerks Custard.

Oh, and just to stay "on topic", my ride is a Valkyrie... :pervy:

My NX650. Fun little bike on the trails or zipping around town. Its a single cylinder 650 cc engine and on the highway doing about 75 has a real pronounced vibration in the seat. Missus never understood why she was always turned on after I took her for a ride on it
