Haven't seen foyles war, but LOVED Poirot!!! Watched all of that on netflix. And an Australian one called Miss Fisher's Mysteries. also like Rosemary and Thyme on netflix, and one set I think in Ireland, called Ballykissangel, and a Scotland one.... Monarch of the Glen.

And now the all new series Schoolin Rixie to enjoy. :D

these 3 I know are on netflix. I've watched some of doc martin, haven't seen the other two yet, but they're in my list

Ok, just looked em up......crossing lines I'd put in my list the other day and forgot. lol Just put merlin in there. I also liked Death in Paradise

The ones I didn't want to miss while I was there, besides anything Month Python-ish, were Are You Being Served and Benny Hill. (is he even still alive?)
The un-censored versions as shown on British TV - The American versions were always cut.

He was too goofy for nearly all the Yanks around me, but I was really into British humor at the time and he made perfect sense to me (with tongue planted firmly in cheek).

    There was some British comedian I used to watch when I was younger, on PBS late at night. Can't remember his name. Seems like he maybe had a missing finger, or part of one anyway. If anyone has a clue who it might have been, please let me know.

    Yes! Dave Allen at Large, that's right. I loved his show. I only discovered him because I'm a bit of a nerd, and PBS had his show on right before Dr Who. This was back in the 80's.
