Ok my dear wompers, I need some guidance with my Evic-VT... over in the titanium thread they just keep telling me to use an online converter to convert C temps to F temps... but I sure as hell don't want to do that, and C temps are basically greek to me. How do I change the Evic from C to F?

Andria

While holding it facing you, turn the top control to the right so the temp increases. When it hits the max C temp it will go into F temp range.

That's good to know! I'd really hate if it would only show temps in C! :thumb:

My wife let me live on our forth anniversary. I was good with that.
OMG! ...She was not going to allow you to ruin HER evening, that or she did not want to remember it as the day she broke the shovel!

What is this thread about, other than enjoying Vaping and Life ?

Correct PapawBrett. Sometimes the modwomping or womprat thingies get mentioned, but mostly it's about vaping and life :)

Well, we've been together 15 years now. I don't remember who started it or when, but one of use once said to the other 'and what do it I get out of it?' and the response was 'I'll let you live :pervy:'. It's kinda stuck with us when we're feeling the need for a bit of humor which is why I thought of it.

Then again, I hid her rolling pin a long time ago just in case. Ya never know

I've always liked Mark and watched a bunch of his reviews. Always real, always honest and I'm going to miss him. I hope he has a good break and does come back, but if not he's already done enough for vaping to last a lifetime :thumb:

Ok you smart drippers... see if you can help me figure this out...

I won this dripper - Scythe Shined - Atmomixani - guy at my b&m helped me figure out how to use it, and put a coil on for me. It reads .7 ohms, and I think he said he used 24ga wire (I might have remembered that part wrong). He seems to know his stuff and I trust him.

So the first time I tried it, it was with my DIY Twinkie. I noticed a hot / harsh taste but figured it was because my recipe wasn't right for dripping.

Been sick a lot since then, and just got around to trying the dripper again today. Hubby and I both tried a number of juices and it seems like there is a hot, harsh, metallic sort of taste to everything! We started at 25w but tried higher and lower - it didn't seem to matter.

Is it a problem with the wire? I was dry burning it between juices by just heating it to glowing for a second or so, letting off the button, then blowing on it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I also used less cotton than before because I didn't want the different flavored juices mixing in the well and wicking up to the coil, so I cut the cotton short enough to keep it from going down into the well. Maybe it wasn't enough cotton? Hmmm... no, because the first time, with the twinkies, there was plenty of cotton... I'm grasping at straws.

I'm a dripper noob. I know nothing. Hoping you guys have some suggestions because I'm starting to think I'm not gonna like dripping after all.

The metallic and harsh could very well be because it was just unpackaged and built on? As far as the hot not sure on that one. Machining oil is a horrible vape and it does burn going down.

That's what I was thinking, that it needs a good soak and scrub with a toothbrush or something similar. Might need to be recoiled afterward though.

Agreed and I would toss some small bore dual 28 ga. in it (8-9wrap? 26ga. if it got higher than that) about .6-.7 ohms. That's what I vape my Reo's on and its a nice pleasant warmish vape.
