It took me a good while to figure out that some devices just don't work as well with a slower, lighter, or shorter draw. It also took a while for me to figure out that the way I vape is apparently different than most around here.
I used to only draw about 2 seconds but have worked up to 3 (most of the time), and I do kind of slower easier draws than most. And I have had fits with scorched hits and dry hits. I have adjusted a lot of things and am doing better now... finally.
I'm finally getting the hang of rewicking the occ coils for the stm, using less cotton than the stock coils. helps a lot. I always poke the stock coils with a needle. I may need to repoke it every 2 days or so. And I don't run more than 60vg unless I know for sure the wick will handle it (rewicked very well, or just got lucky with a stock coil, or whatever).

and realized you passed 5 yrs smoke-free almost a week ago -- CONGRATS!!!!!!! HUGE milestone!!!!!!!

It's even better with the Evic-VT -- yesterday, just starting to get used to the new mod, I realized that the flavor had changed very subtly, it just seemed *thinner* -- not so saturated. So I opened it up, and sure enough, although both wick tails were still pretty wet, the bottom of the well was dry -- perfect time to refill!
Since that's exactly the reason I got curious about TC aand got the Evic, it seems to be working perfectly. It does seem to take the titanium a bit longer to break in than kanthal, but I hear they also last longer before gunking, so that's a decent trade-off.

Got 3 Vision Spinners and I'm going to try the Spinner IIIs (they look cool) - May decide before the sale goes off to pick up a few more. The Vision Spinners I know will work fine (recommended by those in the know) so I wanted to make sure I got a few of them - and hubs can have his own!

Modwomping Virus after work on a fresh build in the Odin, drinking a beer, and watching Marley destroy a stuffed alligator. The simple quiet times truly are the best. (Well for us, the alligator not so much.) 
At the moment I am a happy camper and P.O'd at the same time. Vape mail showed up today with my new glass for my Lemo II. Put it together, filled it with some ITC Berserker and started vaping it. At 30 it was good, at 35 watts it was pure chocolate bliss!Felt a little juice on it and wiped the glass off and kept vaping. Running the .5 Kanthal coil in it and it is vaping great with awesome flavor, but felt a little more wetness on it so wiped it down again and looked at it closely and the damn glass is cracked. I ordered 2 glasses but thats not the point. They are so thin that it takes nothing to crack them and thats not right. Im gonna keep vaping it as is because I am not dumping that tank but I also will not buy another lemo II no matter how well it vapes. And no, I didnt over tighten it.
In other news I swung by the local vape shop and looked over their RDA's. Was hoping they had a Varitas RDA but alas they didnt so picked up a Troll RDA that has a deep deck and a lot of positive reviews. Also picked up a Snow Wolf 200 watt temp control box. Also ordered off Ebay a Velocity RDA.
When I first got the Kayfun V4's and kayfun lites there was no going back to Ego's. Just aint happening. Now with subtanks and RDA's the kayfuns are not satisfying. I still will use one of my kayfuns because it has my lemonaid juice in it but thats only occasionally.
Have you tried lung hitting with your STM? I always did the mouth to lung but from that very first draw on the STM I new this was a lung hitter and it so smooth and natural that it felt like I been doing it forever. No coughing or anything, it was that smooth of a draw using my normal 3mg juice. Now thats the only way I like vaping and its only been since late may that I been using them.
I cant agree with you there VNeil. Im pretty near a year since I dropped the smokes and I vape now only because I love to vape. My nicotine usage is 3mg and I can and occasionally do 0mg. Its not that I need it any more, its that I love it. With drippers they put out a lot more as well as deliver a lot more flavor. Same with a STM vs a Kayfun. The STM has a lot more airflow which means a lot more flavor vs the kayfun's restrictive airflow. With a flavor dripper you get a ton of airflow and a ton of flavor and as a bonus a ton of clouds.
I have a pack of Smok 306 drippers and use them for flavor testing when I am experimenting with my mixing. They work real well.

Dripping is for people that still need more fidgeting with their hands. For a long time I thought dripping would be a PITA until I figured that out!
I also use STMs and think that each is a different tool for a different job. Like driving. I drive a stick and there is no way I can eat a Big Mac, with a coke in the other hand, and refill the dripper while shifting gears. At night. While Txting. During the day I can deal with it

I do need to get out more and find a more flavorful dripper though. I'm sure I can beat the STM I just don't want to go through a hundred drippers to do it

Love dripping but hate the hassle, even if it is Really Enjoying Overall........

To me the STM is the closest ya can get to dripping, without actually dripping. Been thinking of picking up a couple regular subtanks just for the added volume it will hold.
As for going thru a bunch of drippers, I dont mind. I suffer from sever shinyitis
