Wow.. That works. I know this has been around for a while but I've never seen one like this.

It's a little janky but it sure works.

I need to build a jig.

Ok guys, I am curious here. If your using an RDA on a mech mod and you lay it down it leaks. If you stand it up it fires and using the lock ring all the time is a PITA so what do yall do when you need to set your mech/RDA down?

An RDA that doesn't leak? :D ROFL!! Sorry, couldn't resist, though I know you'd hate the Achilles, it's got such tight airflow. The new Achilles 2 might be better; instead of a 2mm airhole it's got a 2.5mm, but that might still be too tight for you. Only place I know right now that has them is titanium-mods.com, the authentic, but it's like 115 euros -- $126-ish. Supposedly Yeahsmo is going to do clones of the Achilles 2, which would be available thru Frog in Fog, but no idea on when.

Get a mech that has a recessed button. "The King" mod is an example. When the locking ring is all the way up (so you can fire it), it still protrudes a tiny bit, leaving a rim. When resting the mod upright, it's actually resting on the rim instead of the button.

The Galileo is a good choice too; the magnet is so strong that I can stand it up with a full kayfun on it, and it doesn't fire. I think MadVapes still has some Galileos, about $35-ish.

Use a light RDA/stronger spring.

I'm in process of getting a Poldiac for this reasion.

A Manhattan/Fuhattan/New Yorker etc. clone. Very strong Magnet that does not even have a locking mechanism. Though I would never put it in my pocket... The Poldiac sounds like a GREAT mech also.
But this, I dont think is a solution to your problem, someone said they use these to keep their mods standing up when working and such Climax 1 in. Bore Zinc-Plated Mild Steel Set Screw Collar-C-100 - The Home Depot
