Just out of simple curiosity, why a mech?

I am a firm believer in battery safety and am pretty sure the mech we have heard about blowing up in peoples faces are the faults of the people who didnt follow battery safety or used good batteries that can actually withstand the load, but still, I become leary of mechs myself.

I agree.

If one likes mechs then play away but I'm hearing all this talk of after the Apocalypse.

Well for now we can vape on whatever we want. Leave the post Apocalypse stuff for after the Apocalypse.

People are gonna have to learn to stick a screwdriver through there best friends eye socket as well but I don't hear of people practicing that.

I agree with you on the safety issue of mechs which is why I use either a fuse or a kick. But I also think that we shouldn't be lulled to sleep because we are also using regulated mods. I have not heard of any blowing up but I have had problems with some of mine and have heard many stories of others as well. So as much as I like using my regulated mods I think safety is an issue there as well. Just my :2c:

@chopdoc I still enjoy nice Mech mods as long as their not Hybrids, but I use fuses or Kicks, and its more for backup. I do agree some what of your saying, I almost treat them like a gun. I still pull them out to keep me safely using them. But I really don't consider a good Mech any less safely if I am using it properly, and if its well made, especially venting holes being good.

Its kinda early for me to use the right words too explain! Lol

Another issue I have with most Tube mechs is that they have insufficient venting and most have the venting on the wrong end.

You guys aren't practicing?

I thought Tootle Puffers were more prepared than that...

Edit: Whoops... Just realized this was the Whomper thread. Still, you guys should practice, too... :hubba:

I been on a Kayfun kick lately.

The K4 is a tight draw even with watery juice and the subohm.

But this morning I took the old KFL down to the shop. With a drill and Dremel I removed every bit of needless metal, which is most of it BTW.

Built it to .99. I was shooting for 1but failed. At least I can brag of being "subohm".

Well this ain't a bad little tank. More air then a K4 with the kit.

I just ordered about 5 pounds of Kayfun's (V4and 3.1) for like 30 bucks from the Vape Vault sale.

3.99 for a Tobecco K4. If I give one away it will cost me more to mail. Also added the subohm kit for 19 cents.

Happy New Years yall Mod Wompers!!!

Had a nice little new years surprise. Over a couple months back I mixed up some Inawera latakia and Sig Black and Mild and it wasnt a bad vape. Tried it last night after it has been sitting on the shelf well over 2 months and now its an outstanding vape! Perfect vape for ringing in the new year :D

Not bad for $43 and I have been tired of always seem like I am just waiting on a set of batteries to be chargers. This way will have a few spares in the vape bag. Also ordered the 100 Watt Istick and the Herakles sub ohm tank. Not sure i am going to really like the tank because its only 3 ml capacity but going to try it anyways.

Anyone have a Wismec Reuleaux RX200 200W Mod? Good, bad, iffy? Worth $50?

s-l500.jpg

I love mine! Nice long battery life, and it's very comfortable in the hand. Smaller than you would think for a 3 battery mod. I have small hands and find it very comfortable to hold. But it is heavier than most mods due to the 3 batteries. I've been following the thread in the Temp Control forum and just about everyone is really happy with them, whether they use it for temp control or not. VapeNW has them for $39.95 right now:

How come they're blue-green? I got a set of 25Rs very recently, and they were green.

here's something I've seen / read...
- - -
PRODUCT DETAILS

PLEASE NOTE: The Samsung 25R-R2 (Blue) is being phased out for Samsung 25R-R5 (Green)
the batteries have the same performance but the R5 should have better cycle life according to Samsung.

So I been using MFS nic base since day one and never had no complaints.

Got some stuff called "Throat Hit" nic awhile back cause it was cheap. Dear god is it cheap for a reason. Stuff is HARSH!!!!!

So during this testing phase I recall I'd ordered some Nude Nicotine as a sample some time ago and never used it. Mixed up a couple 120ml's and put them in the rotation a couple weeks ago and they finally made it front and center yesterday.

Oh my goodness is this stuff good. Sooooooooooooooo smooth. I only use one thing and this is made the same but you'd never know it was the same. I cannot believe how much better it is.

They had a sale awhile ago but for whatever reason I couldn't get the coupon to work so said screw it and bought the Throat Hit garbage. I'd say I can still stand the MFS stuff but the differance between NN and TH is to vast.

Prolly gonna plant tomatoes this year and use the TH to kill bugs. Use the MFS for what I make for others and buy ME some NN.

I have used DIY Shack nicotine, Wizard Labs Nicotine and MFS nicotine and I can tell no difference between them and using no nicotine at all. (Times when experimenting I will mix up zero nic batches to test) I have never used the TH nicotine, just the regular 100mg nicotine. I have never tried Nude Nic nor will I. I cant see paying $105 a liter when what I usually use, MFS is tasteless and $50 a liter. Currently I have 2 1/2 liters of 100 mg nicotine put up so dont see myself buying any in the next 5 to 7 years unless the feds try to ban it or regulate it to the point it is unaffordable. Maybe 4 months back I bought two liters from MFS when they had it on sale for $40 a liter.
I have nothing at all against Nude Nic and if peeps want to use it, go for it. Its their fan club that irks me to no end. Its not so bad here on ECF but I seen it on other places a lot where some new person to DIY ask what nic to buy and the Nude Nic fan club takes over the discussion and puts down anyone who dares say not to use them.

I don't actually get a flavor from nic but rather a harshness.

NN has none of the harshness. MFS is based on percentage. TH is harsh even at very low percentages.

Steeping mellows most of them out but time doesn't help TH. Nasty stuff.

NN is 60 bucks a liter on sale. For 20 bucks a year + extra over MFS is say it's worth it.
