Well we did have this on Saturday night. It hit about 3 miles or so from our house. Thank God we didn't suffer any damage and no one was killed!

I could but I'd have have to turn the porch heater on and thats a bit wasteful when it's this cold.
That's why I haven't even let my cat out into the garage, despite her pleas; when it's this cold, the little space heater out there is just not powerful enough, even for a single-car garage. No insulation in the outer walls.
She finally went back to the couch, evidently quite miffed at me.

Yep, they're very close in DNA to African wild cats -- which actually look a lot like modern domesticated cats. Pretty sure it was the Egyptians who first domesticated them, and of course worshipped them as a manifestation of a god... I think the god's name was Bast?
Makes sense when you consider the vast network of granaries the Egyptians had, and how necessary rodent control is, in a granary.

I've heated the porch to 72F when it was 15F for parties, it's just not necessary when I can sip hot chocolate inside.
Oh boy oh boy, my black Magma and liter of nicotine just pulled up to the mailbox.

I'll clean up and build the Magma later, when I've had more than 4 hrs sleep, and post a pic. But it's odd, it almost looks more gun metal or "black chrome" like a Vamo, than actually black. It doesn't look bad next to the black kbox mini I got it for, but maybe i could use my gun metal vamo with it too. I'll dig out the vamo later and check that. Unfortunately my gunmetal driptip has oxidized into several interesting colors, only some of which still look like gunmetal. Heh, it's like gunmetal rainbow.
