I tried that before. The usual answer was "what you need that for, dont you have enough already, you dont need that". Its easier to just order it and not say a word lol

Must be nice Andria. I bring home two checks a month. One check pays all the bills and what nots, second check gets groceries or what evers and usually well over a grand left over to play with and I still get a hassle if i say I am gonna order this or that. Best way to keep the peace is not to tell her :D
Now if she knew I spent $900 on a rifle last month and $500 on a pistol the month before that there would be no end to the nagging

I can't even imagine it. I feel completely blessed that my husband works, has a decent job, and (nowadays) pretty decent pay... and he's never cared one way or the other if I have a job or not; in fact he prefers that I don't, because if I'm working outside the house, I don't cook as much -- like, hardly ever. :D He's a BIG fan of the vittles I put in front of him.

He's always felt that whatever he makes, that's OUR money -- but *he* worked for that money, so I would never ever presume to tell him he doesn't need something -- he's a coin/currency collector, and the only thing I've ever said to him about that is, might need to take it a little easier hon, you don't need to buy all of it, all at once -- then there'd be nothing left to collect! But that's only if the budget is particularly tight, in any given pay-period; when money isn't tight, he buys whatever he likes, but he always does run it by me first, since I keep the "family books" -- which is just another reason why our budgets lately haven't been all that tight; when we bought this house, I took over the budgeting and bill-paying; he's really not very good at it, being more of a spend-thrift, and I'm more of a tight-wad -- but now, every bill is paid on time or even before -- there's a couple that get paid even before the bill arrives! So I guess he feels I "earn my keep". :D And I feel immensely better that I'm not wasting so much of his hard-earned money on damn cigarettes!

Wow Andria. That's awesome. I've worked since I was 13 years old after my dad died when I was 12. I'm plum pooped out. On the good side, I'll get to retire in 3.5 years. I can't wait!!!!!! That's another reason I'm stocking up on vape stuff. And, I really have a GREAT job that I enjoy, so that's a plus as well. :)

Bring me my switch and mosfet UPS person!!!
Dang UPS men!!
I use to have it made with UPS, my UPS guy used to deliver at my work as one of his first stops. Once he realized I worked there he would just leave my packages there in the morning! Sometimes would get stuff a day early! :)

The really awesome thing is finding a person who *gets* me so well -- he knows I have a lot of problems dealing with "the world at large", which is why he really doesn't care if I have a job or not; times when I have, he had to deal with the tears and rages and depression that always result if I have to spend a lot of time surrounded by other people -- I'm perhaps one of the most determined loners one can be, and not be an outright Howard-Hughes-hermit. He sees that being alone most of the time is what keeps me balanced, and he's fine with that. He's that way too, to a certain extent, though not as "pathologically" as I am. This was one of the factors that led my mom to say "you two are so damn weird, you deserve each other!" :D Right you are, mom. :D

Perhaps the strangest thing is that although our son is quite happy on his own, since he's a big reader as I am, he's actually quite a social person; in his teens, our aprt. became "teenager central" -- probably because his friends soon learned that I wasn't one of those "stick-up-the-...." moms about messes and such. Even about language -- if I heard a "damn", I'd just holler "language!" from my out-of-sight-but-not-out-of-earshot computer desk. I'd hear giggling and a chorus of "sorry!" :D And also because if he was hogging the playstation, I'd come in and take the doohickey from him and give it to one of his friends, telling him he had to BE a friend to have any!

I know the feeling. If I ever met anyone who enjoyed insanity as much as I do, I would probably be scared :D

lol. Yea, same here. I'm a nut for sure. For instance, I have a db Programming conference tomorrow in Austin, and I nabbed an online picture of a goofy mugshot and did a cut/paste job on my name tag. Just to see who might notice it tomorrow. (I blocked out part of my name) Here it is. lol

OMG I love db programming (I know, I'm sick)! I was a full time web developer for a large firm here building eCommerce websites until the dot bomb hit. I still do web development as a hobby and work with PHP/MySQL.

Awesome! I did some web development years ago but really enjoy Sql. I use T-Sql at work. And also write SSRS reports with it. :)
