Too much Mexican Polka (Mariachi) music at work for me!
Too much perfume in the office is the problem where I work. BLAH. Gag!
Too much Mexican Polka (Mariachi) music at work for me!
My coworker has his own shop that he does part time after work. Wood letters and things like that he sells on AmazonMy "No Smelly People" policy would work.
I would not allow music around CNC machines or any other machine where the sound it makes should be paid attention to.
I truly feel you can tell the difference between a precision craftsmen and a hack by how they listen to their work.I'm talking about in the office! In the shop they can have their phone or mp3 with 1 earbud & an earplug if they like! I personally like to hear the machines sing to me! I can hear which lathe is running from my office over the music & everything else going on but I can't (or won't) hear people standing next to me half of the time!LOL!
Noah's Arc? Wow, that's old.I truly feel you can tell the difference between a precision craftsmen and a hack by how they listen to their work.
If you ever get to visit NASA's manual welding shop it is silent except for the sound of the arc.
That is one of my favorite bits of folklore. The archeological evidence of that flood makes the lore version even funnier.Noah's Arc? Wow, that's old.![]()
I can hear when tools start to get dull! Sometimes I can tell which tool is running because of the sound! I can also feel it when I'm running machines! On our new Doosan horizontal mill I have a problem telling if the spindle is on because it's so quiet with no vibration! I can't wait to spin it up to 14k rpm & do some engraving!I truly feel you can tell the difference between a precision craftsmen and a hack by how they listen to their work.

I would LOVE to do some engraving. How fun.I can hear when tools start to get dull! Sometimes I can tell which tool is running because of the sound! I can also feel it when I'm running machines! The folklore may have come from the Black Sea flooding after an ice age or something. That is one of my favorite bits of folklore. The archeological evidence of that flood makes the lore version even funnier.
I agree, dealing with certain equipment no one should be listening to music or have ear plugs in.I truly feel you can tell the difference between a precision craftsmen and a hack by how they listen to their work.

Different environment, but yes that's how it should be. Treat your employees good and they will respect you and do good work! Finally arrived, nice to be by the beach, long drive though.
I was a good boss, I let everyone vape at work at their desk, these employees were making me money so I tried to treat them the best I could, a happy worker is a good worker.

I SERIOUSLY WISH I COULD VAPE AT WORK! It's the day from hockey sticks.![]()
I'd get caught and get fired. You need the Big Gulp mod, where the mod sits in a foam base inside the cup with a thumb hole in back and the straw crammed into the drip tip...
A small USB fan or two should disperse your flavorless low VG wisps well enough...

This doesn't surprise me.I was a good boss, I let everyone vape at work at their desk
My problem now is set-ups on my new machine are so fast with the auto part probing & the auto tool setting I've got nothing to do! LOL!Update: All my vape gear is working perfectly, business is running smoothly and I want for nothing...
I'm bored
Bored bored bored...
Ever taken a bath because you couldn't think of anything else to do.. Already did that
This weather sucks
*firstworldproblems*
I wear hearing protection anytime I'm around machines, at home or work.
I can't hear a thing.
Must be why everything I make is crap.
