Not a fan of Winter.

I will say nothing beats sitting in the hot tub when its 25 below zero.

But Winter kills bugs and creepy crawly things.

I'm reminded of my first road trip to warmer climates. I was just a kid and I'd thrown a small tent and sleeping bag on my motorcycle and made it as far as The Badlands SD. I have ARRIVED!!!!!

Then I see signs warning of rattle snakes.

Wait what?? Snakes?? SNAKES?? We ain't got snakes up here on the tundra. So I'm terrified now. But I been riding all day and I'm beat. Come the middle of the nite I gotta pee (rare then daily now) and the park crapper is a good bit away and its very dark and I got a Mini-Maglite. And I am surrounded by thousands of snakes just waiting to taste NYer blood for the first time. I bet it took an hour to cover that 100 foot or so. Needing to be doing the peepee dance but afraid to wake the thousands of snakes.

To my knowledge I never was near a snake. I'm not even sure I've ever seen one.
OMG lol!!!! I killed a snake in my bath tub one year. And a 12 button rattler in the front yard. The ones that REALLY creep me out are the periscope whip snakes. I was walking out my yard to go to the grocery back in September and one popped up out of the grass and gave me the evil eye. They're like cobras in the way they can pop 1/3rd of their bodies up and get "in your face". They aren't poisonous but are really quick and bite fast and hard. And this one was about 6 feet long. I threw my glass of ice water at it.

This rat snake came crawling out of my window A/C a month after. I went to turn it on and it just hummed. So, I bought another one and when the old one hit the ground, this dizzy, confused snake came out.

SD was also my first dry heat.

It was in the low 100's and it was pretty nice. I like that dry heat stuff.

In NY that humidity just slaps you in the face and sucks the life out of you in seconds. And sweat just pours out of every part of you.

I lived on Louis L'Amour books growing up yet strangely the only area of the US I ain't poked around is where most the books were set.

I would imagine NY has a few venomous snakes just like PA. Copperheads and Rattle Snake. Aside from colors or rattles, look at the pupils - venomous snakes have slit pupils, regular snakes have circular pupils like us. Trust me I don't like them either, but it's good to know when to wet your pants and freak out or just ignore it.

Honestly I can't say I've ever seen a snake. And I lived on a farm til I was in my 30's.

I am not saying ain't no snakes but I ain't never seen one and Atya has been attacked over and again so we must have less.

In my 25 years in PA I've only seen 3. And that was when I went up the Allegheny river to go fishing at Kinzua Dam or when I lived in Tioga south of Corning, NY. Of course when I lived up there I saw my first bear...y'all got bears in Texas @Atchafalaya ??

I seen lottsa bears here. Mostly camping in the Daks'. Used to go to the Old Forge dump back in the day see hundreds of bears.

NY bears are cute and cuddly.

I see a Griz in Montana few years ago. Ain't nuttin at all cute or cuddly about them.

I was on *****&**** at work and a Resident called the office about a Snake in her apartment, we went down there and my Manger was scared as hell of snakes. So I go in and find it, its a Baby Copper Head, and my dumba@@ on that *****&**** picks it up and chases my manager with it joking around.. man that little ba$tard tried getting me 3 times, I had him by the tail so I just swung him down each time..

Edit* Oh, we always played Pranks on each-other and I beat her that week!! Man work was fun back then!! Now its all new people....

When I was around 16 or 17 my folks bought this KOA campground in Louisiana and moved us down there. The place had a 10 acre lake with lots of snakes so my dad gave me the job of getting rid of the snakes. I would catch some minnows, put them on a treble hook with about 10 foot of string and chunk the fish with the hook back into the water. Next morning I would pull all the lines up and cut the heads off the snakes. Mainly fish moccasins but a few poisonous ones. Had one I stepped on its head to hold it while I cut its head off and the snake, probably about a 4 footer wrapped itself around my leg. One of the camper women seen this, screamed, fainted and I get my .... in trouble for doing what I was told.
I never really minded snakes but prefer them dead.

Today I went and picked up one of these and cut close to an acre of grass with it.

And yes this is vaping related. Earlier I got out my Vapeflask clone squonker with a sweet clapton coil in it, gave it a fresh wick and filled it with some Inawere Vanilla for pipe at %5 that I mixed up a couple months ago and forgot all about it and it was very enjoyable to vape while cutting the grass. Almost has a taste very similar to that very sweet smell of burning sugar cane that I love to smell. Dont know how many of yall been around it but when they harvest sugar cane they will burn the stalks and it is a very sweet smokey smell that I find delicious.

A company just posted a giveaway on Reddit a few minutes ago, giving away their juice called Brulee. Here is the description: Brûlée is a 30 day barrel aged e-liquid replicating the famous French dessert Crème Brûlée. The flavor profile consists of burnt sugar, vanilla custard, and vanilla beans. The barrel aging adds a complex note to the flavor and a whole new level to this delicious blend.

I think they made this just for you!
