Unconditional positive regard is one quality that I attempted to polish and refine in my counselor training. It was tested to the (N)th degree when I was working in Lincoln Regional Center with a population that committed predominantly violent crimes (think murder, etc). About the time I learned to have compassion for someone who had committed an act like that, I learned I could have compassion for anyone. Ironically enough, the hardest person to have compassion for - myself.

With you on this one. I have NO compassion for myself. I have one of those mean hatters living in my head and riding me every step of the way. *shakes head*

And I can't figure out why? You're one of the kindest, most generous person I've ever met since I've been on the 'net. But...I know where you're coming from! I think I've struggled with this for as long as I've been on this earth. It's really hard for me to be good to myself. ((((Hugs))))

Raising hand:::: it was to send a signal to someone that everything was ok or to say hello or something like that! walking away very fast that maybe I didn't know after all

You are correct, it was a message to her grandmother that she was doing ok and that she loved her.

Absolutely loved that show the ad lib team of Carol, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, and Lyle Waggoner had me in stitches every week.

God I'm getting old!

Yep, that's it! I watched Carol every week and always felt bad for Harvey laughing so bad he couldn't hold character with Tim doing his thing (and I was laughing just as hard!!)...just a brilliant show!

And I learned about that from Carol's (auto??) biography. Good read if you have a chance.

I thought she was signaling Tim Conway to lay down the bunt.

Been having the crappiest of crappy days (trouble with the girlfriend. She met someone else and wants to be with me but have my permission to be physical with them).

Gawd, if only I could be so lucky:glare: I would say sure but see you on the 12th...The 12th of Never.

Keep your chin up...NT got our backs. LOL

I dip my whole right thumb in my CLS super steeped bottle and suck it all night like a baby:pervy:

Oh....I thought you were older, my bad! And nothing against 20 somethings at all just thought it was funny that it was posted and I immediately knew who that was. LOL

*pulls right ear* ;)
No worries, just busting your chops a lil bit. I felt no insult by your remarks at all. Yes, I am 22 and a half (yes I still count that half :D ) and proud of it! Though I am an old soul and feel like I have more wisdom than my tree rings reveal.

Prophet, I'm sorry about what you are going through right now. I've been in relationships where I was not appreciated but I've not been faced with a confession or decision like yours. I'm not in your shoes so I can't tell you what to do or how to feel but I will tell you this. When I left a bad relationship it was the hardest thing I have ever done. It took me months and months to get over it and I didn't know the hell I had been through until I got to the other side.
