I dont think Metaphysical spirituality necessarily subscribes to one certain religion. It takes a little bit of something from all theologies. Im not religious at all but I wouldnt call myself an atheist. Im more of an agnostic. I believe that if YOU believe there is a God, then there is a God. Who's to say for certain that there is or isnt a God? Not me. Although I have to say, Ive had a few nights where I was certain I saw God so...... LOL.

To each their own...:vapor:
Amen brother!! My thoughts exactly!!

I agree completely. And I thought you were talking about a specific spirituality that I had read about. Lol. I apologize.
I go to church because I love my church family. I believe a lot of different things that would probably make their heads spin. Lol!
It has helped strengthen my relationship with my fiance. It has helped my anxiety and depression. Basically, it has helped me. I was a sick sick person.
Explain my avatar? Sure. Basically, the sixth circuit court ruled that the marriage ban stay in effect in my home state and a few others. Personally? It's crap. I am a lady in a completely monogamous, love filled relationship with another lady and it's crap that the law can define how far our relationship goes on a legal level. Sorry to open up a can of worms here, but I'm extremely passionate about it. I am a proud gay christian.

Hang in there, Im sure its just a matter of time before they allow it. Kansas was going to start allowing same sex marriages this week but, of course, the conservative Kansas AG requested a delay. If Kansas, by far one of the most conservative states in the union allows it, Kentucky cant be far behind.

That's exactly what happened here and we are back to square one.
Just pack up and move to California. Haha. Both my brothers are gay, and can get married. Pretty sure neither of them are in a relationship where that is something they want, but I'm happy that they have the right to marry whenever they are ready. I'm pretty passionate about it also. It drives me nuts that people actually pay for the gas it takes them to drive somewhere and vote for something that takes away someone's right, when it doesn't affect them. Sorry, I know this isn't the place to rant.

Huh? This is totally the place to rant :p

I hear ya though, especially with the cost of gas in northern Cali. It could cost you $25 in gas just to drive somewhere to vote

The reason I asked was because my son is gay. He's only 17 and not in a position to get married but it would be nice if he lived in a state that actually recognized the fact that love knows no boundaries. NC is not one of those states. My son has told me many times that he would be moving to CA when he was able because he can explore his own sexuality. Love doesn't decide that it should only be for men and women together but could hold true for 2 men or 2 women. I've known since my son was very young that he would choose the lifestyle he ultimately chose. I've been asked many times what I planned to do about him? My answer is usually to look at the person as if they've developed an extra head and walk away with matches firmly in hand.

Love always prevails. Always. My lady and I have been through absolute Hell and back. I could write a book, I'm sure. But couldn't we all.
I have POS roommates that were suppose to move out today but apparently don't have anywhere to go now. Words can't describe how mad I am.

I stole their points to give to Lynn for mom awesomeness...if I had known I would have stolen more, a&& hats!!!

BTDT with the adopted son a few weeks ago after finding out he hadn't paid the house payment and put me in foreclosure! I told him to move in with his dad. He did but was back a week later begging for me to let him move back. I told him to forget it. He burned me once and that's all it takes especially when it causes me problems!

One of the things I think is unrivaled about the vaping community is that such a diverse group of people can have a perfectly intelligible conversation about politically charged topics like religion and politics, without getting ....-hurt. I just wanted to acknowledge that this thread went in a definitively positive direction despite the fact that some "hot topics" were touched on - I really appreciate everyone's willingness to be open-minded about such matters. XOXO
