Just bugs me. It sounds like a toddler talking about #2. There has to be a better word for cigarettes. I mean, I guess it's impossible to use the actual word, but there has to be something better than stinkies. Or analogs.

Anyone?

Hey Tina! I came up with "stinkarettes" a while back when someone else was complaining about "stinkies." Of course there's always the old faithful "cancer sticks," or as I usually called them, "coffin nails." As in (back when I used them!), "time to go pound another nail in my coffin." Really hoping I managed to quit before that box got built... ;)

I don't see anything wrong with the word cigarettes, after all that is the correct name.

I refer to "those" as cigs or smokes. I also don't like the word "stinkies" for much the same reason as you, Tina. Sounds like a bunch of pre-schoolers thinking they are having silly fun saying a bad word. And analogs is too long to type and just doesn't really seem like it makes sense to me in this context, although I guess it was first used in the "olden days" of this forum, so is now part of the culture here.

I had the same thought; actually, e-cigs are "analogs" of cigarettes -- analogous.
