I'm 20 lol. Smoked since I was 14. Glad to be off them.

Dang it, this is why PV's need to be banned and regulated to "save the children" no one under 21 or 18 should be allowed to purchase these devil sticks. How are they going to develop the full blown addiction like my 40+ year one, if they keep quitting smoking so young....:facepalm::facepalm:

Common sense "has left the building".....

You will find that while the nic in vapor does indeed help you stop smoking, it was not the nic that caused the tobacco addiction.
It was the chemicals that they added "to make the nic more effective" that caused it.

I smoked a pipe for 30 years, and the nic content of tobacco increased as the years went by. At the end of it it was at about 1.8%
Which in vaping terms is 18 mg. I currently vape at 1/3 of that.

Welcome to the forum, my fellow Tennessee neighbor. I think it's great that you got off the analogs and switched to vaping. If I was you I would not feel "odd" about being a younger vaper. Hold your head up high that you took control, your at the perfect place to educate other smokers that there is an alternate to analogs. Look at it this way, you took control over your life and the cigarettes lost. Now you won't have all the health problems that comes from a life time of smoking and plus you will smell better to.:)

I started smoking when I was 16 (almost 42 now), so when my son started smoking, I couldn't tell him to stop (my opinion, that would be hypocritical)...he's 18 now and a freshman in college at Maryville College

this past November, my husbands cousin got my husband and I to put down the cigarettes and start vaping....when my son came home for Christmas break, we got him switched over to vaping as well....he has since went back to college and proceeded to switch every smoker on his dorm floor to vaping!! (he'll be 19 the end of March btw).

You're not alone!! I'm 20 and I've been vaping for about a year now

Some people question why I just don't quit smoking "anything", but those people obviously have never experience nicotine's devilish grasp.

I'm a young one myself (not as young as some on here) but at only 27, I really didn't start smoking until I was 20ish....and didn't really have a habit until I was around 21 or 22.

People ask me all the time why I vape....why I don't just quit altogether. I just give them a weird look, and ask them why I should quit nicotine for THEM. lol. Personally, I love my nicotine....and I don't buy the negative press it gets. Cigarettes, yea, they are killers. Nicotine? I don't buy it...I'll keep on a' puffin.

I'm 26 and started smoking at around 14, quit ciggies cold turkey almost a year ago. I couldn't stop thinking about smoking and 6 months later I started vaping. In my opinion an addiction is an addiction, I'm really happy for you that you chose to quit the analogs as early as you did. As a lot of members have said before, you have saved yourself many years of smoking the stinkies, good on yer!! It is always good to read a successful analog to vaping transition and I admire you for taking the step :)

Enjoy the epic world of vaping :vapor:

Being 19 and a vaper feels odd. Everywhere I look I see other fellow vapers who are 25+. I used to be a smoker of 8 years compared to everybody else's 10+ years of smoking. Some may call this shame, I call it pride. The reason I say pride is due to the fact I saved myself all those potential smoking years of life by switching to vaping.

I applaude you for having the good sense to come over to The Vaping Side!! I wish vaping were around when I was your age......Keep getting your vape on!!

When I 1st signed up for ECF with my 1st account, I was 17. Vaping wasn't anywhere near as developed as it is today, and it certainly wasn't even close to being cool. The person that got me into vaping was a bald headed, 70s pornstached, middle aged man, with a parrot in a cage in the background. His name was Leaford. His videos are still on youtube. That is who got me into vaping. lol. Him and Grimmgreen. So I'm proud of you for making the switch little guy. I'm 22 now and I smoked for 4 years before I made my 1st switch to vaping. I went back to cigarettes for a year and a half and then came back to vaping full force, with mods and everything. I'm glad that we got everything sorted so that kids switching today have a great, HUGE assortment of great PVs and APVs and clearomizers at their fingertips.

Stick with it. Smoking isn't worth it. 25% of the population smokes. 2 out of every 4 smokers dies. If you know 10 smokers, 5 of them will die of lung cancer within your lifetime. & if 2 are spared from your group of 10 friends/family members, 7 will be taken from their group of friends or family members and your mutal friends. Remember that. & use your extra time & your youthful passion to drive you to protest, contact legislators, and do your best to keep vaping legal and easily available to the public in both your area and the rest of the country!
