I'm 31, smoked for ~16 years. I quit a few times, but it always just takes that 1 to start back up again. My parents smoked when I was growing up and quit ten or so years ago. My mother has cancer now (not lung, but still likely caused by smoking) and my inability to quit after that diagnosis left me feeling pretty rotten as a son.
Vaping has pretty much solved all my issues. It was a smoother transition than any other nicotine substitute by far (gum, patches, etc.) I find it interesting that they market it as an alternative, not a cessation product.
Oh, and it doesn't take long to stop missing the ash tray breath/clothes.
