Goning to answer most questions here.

try adding a couple drops to your wick and burn it in a few times. Did that several times tilt the pv and see how long it takes for you to see juice drip out the end Drips like a leaky faucet.. some also pinch the top of the wick slightly and if it's a high vg ratio, they leave the top of the wick just a tad higher than the post ( but not too high that it hits the inside of the cap). Wick is not hitting bottom or cap. Liquid is at least 60% vg you want to vape it at 3 o clock until you know the wick has been seasoned with a few tanks...I am holding it at 9 o'clock or higher.

Why do you need extra kits? It does come with everything I would assume. I have 2 coming too. Placed an order for one first and then the hubby decided he wanted one too after people said it would work on his Vmax so I went back for another for him. I didn't get the extra kit though. I hope I don't need them.

It's the obsessive compulsive behavior in me...actually, I just like to have spares of everything around. Plus, the fact that since I have two of the ZAP's, I thought each one should have their own kit

Another thing I have adj. voltage up and down. No metal taste. Getting TONS of vaper.

So what for juices that are 60-80% PG? Tight wick with small enough hole through it for a paper clip? how tight should it be in the wick hole? ( sounds dirty i know )

Low, did you try seeing if adjusting the air hole slightly to one side of the wick makes any difference in flavor? no loose or too tight coils?

Either needs more "break-in" time or it's the juice it would seem to me taking into consideration all other variables being taken off the potential cause list......leaning toward the juice personally.....need a follow-up to ty's question.

Check out emonty's wick set-up, for people having trouble. Half oxidize and helps the juice flow better.

Also I hope that isn't true about Zen discontinuing the stiff draw cap. I have one for my Zenesis ASH and like it so much better than the airy draw cap. Just much better flavor and I just like the way it vapes. Maybe if we all sign up to be notified for the stiff draw caps on the HOH site Zen will realize how many people want them. Money is a pretty good motivator.

Here is a simple solution with your airy draw. I got it from another site do. Thanks Baron Von Bubba of the PIT.

basically cut a strip of a drinks can.and drilled a couple of holes in it. 0.9 and 1.0mm i think it was.


slot inside the top cap and now you have a tighter draw with the ability to vary the draw by just removing the cap and rotating the strip slightly.

Okay here is what I did.
Took many steps at once. I know only one step at a time. Well I was getting tired of messing around.
I First decided to try the 325 wick. The only down to that is I messed up the 400 wick as it was stuck in the insulator. Pulled it out too getting the wick out.
Don't worry I have read enough and knew how to put it back in.
Then I made the coil. Had plenty of practice as I have other RBA(not very good ones).
I then got a new bottle of Coconut Creme Pie from Nhaler. The other was about gone anyway.
I did all the things I was told in the HOH instructions. I can now say it is 80% better. I can actually get flavor from it now.
What I did right who knows. Maybe it was a combination of several things. After a true break in it should get a lot better.
Like I mentioned before I had used it for two days before I decide it was not going to get better. That was 2 tanks too.

I know Zen is good but it may have just been a bad wick. Nobody is perfect.......................LOL

I would go back to what you posting earlier. I ran into the same problem before getting the Zap and that was changing the flavor.

Maybe I've been vaping on it to much and need to rest my taste buds. I do have a nic headache but got it from trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.

I had to change from my favorite banana since I was no longer tasting banana. I have since changed over to a Orange Cream and it is fabulous.

I still think mini is a perfect combo, just the size alone makes a difference. Fits on your pocket perfectly. Fully charge battery last me a day @ work. Then when I get home I just swap battery, but bring an extra one to play it safe.
