Why would you want to remove the center post?

I was able to pull out the center post or should it be fixed in there?

The reason I'm asking is that the center post is pop up and causing a tighter draw and some times it won't even fire. I had to push it down in order to fire it or get it back to normal draw. About 30 mins later, the same thing would happen again. I think the push pin might be too long? therefore, pushing the center post to pop up? Not sure If you can understand, but check the picture in below.

That doesn't even make any sense since it draws from the cap and not the bottom of the device, unless it is making the top mushroom screw go higher. Which means something must me wrong, heh.

It does make sense, if that post is pushed up against the bottom of the drip tip it will give you a tight draw, same principal w/ the iHy tight draw screw. There are drip tips designed for that exact purpose, to tighten up the draw w/out replacing top cap. Just take a pair of pliers and twist the post off, w/ something in between to prevent scratching, then push pin up from the bottom w/ syringe turn upside down and let spring fall out.... Then make sure that delrin peice is screwed into the atty floor tightly. Hope this helps :toast:

Speaking of tight draws look at this weirdness, this is the top cap that came w/ my new zau, its onviously not zen 1/16th size and ive tried but cant get used to the tighter draw as im a lung hitter, ive since switched it w/ one of my gf's she hates it too just not as much as me

From what I see the delrin is coming out. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's not suppose to come out. I know you can remove/take the center post loose, remove the spring and all that but the delrin should not come out..........right.

You can unscrew the delrin to get it out.

Like how Jsl1ce mentioned, the center post is pushed up against the top cap; therefore, causing a tight draw. I am guessing the push pin on the bottom is too long...

It is meant to be long, and there is a spring in between so it doesnt matter, your delrin peice just needs tightening. Thats normal and will sometimes happen to me while cleaning them, just twist it back in and your good to go. The whole atty comes apart completely there are really very few things that can go wrong w/ it.

The reason mike made it that long, (and actually it used to be shorter, my 1st gen zap has a much shorter floating pin, but my 2nd and 3rd gen ones have the long pin) is because the 'vari has a floating pin too, but to an extent. One thing that i notice a lot w/ 'vari owners is a lot of them screw their atties down way too far and get their pin stuck. The zap can make connection to a pin even if it is forced all the way down.

Pretty sure I got the smaller hole on my new ZAP also, wish it was bigger.

Huh, thanks for the correction then. I had no idea you could take the center pin out. Makes sense for repair purposes.
Although I will mention, my Provari's do not have a floating center pin(I just checked). I never tighten things down to far though. I was always watchful of that since I started using 357's with the Provari and was told to never tighten them down to far as doing so causes them to leak.

I got the replaced ZAP and after 2 days, the center post pop up again...; it won't fire. The Provari is reading OP. Per provape, they are not sure what the problem is and advise me to glue the center post in place. Now I am waiting it to dry and hope that this is going fix it.

I am very disappointed with this product... Can't believe I have to fix it while it supposed to be a "quality" piece of device....

I am thinking to buy another actually "quality" rebuildable atomizer. Any suggestion!!

Happy New year to ya'll!!
