Okay, this is a tank mod that you can whip out in just a couple of minutes. Which is why I call it the ZIP tank! All you need to make the ZIP Tank would be:

(1) E2 R4 XL cartomizer - Make sure you get the XL version, I could not find any when I made my first ZIP Tank, and it is painfully obvious why you need the XL version of the carto. When you have the standard size e2 r4 you have a tank that can work with only about 2 - 2.5 ml of juice. Where as with the XL type cartomizer you will be able to hold at least twice this much, although I have not built a ZIP Tank with an XL cartomizer yet.

(1) 6ml Flavoring Bottle from Perfumers Apprentice. These are perfect for this mod because the 510 style connector of my cartomizers snap into the opening in the top of the bottle literally snug as a bug in a rug. Still dab a tiny bit of epoxy around the edges to insure a seal.

(1) Epoxy kit to seal up the unit CAREFULLY

(1) Toothpick - Snap off a small piece of the toothpick in the center hole of the battery connector as this will prevent frequent leakage through the breather tube out the bottom of the cartomizer. Now once you do this the draw becomes very hard. so use a file or a Dremel and enlarge the notches on your battery connector (not the cartomizer connector but the mod connector) This will ease up the suction force needed to draw on this sucker.

If anyone has a better idea for eliminating the leaking through the breather tube without snapping a toothpick in the connector hole, please I am all ears!!

These are SO easy to make and SO quick. Hence The ZIP Tank.

I will make them for people if they absolutely can not deal with making these. This will be after I determine a permanent and viable solution for the breather tube leaking though.

Oh man! I wish I had found this one sooner, I would have saved a lot of experimenting time!!! Thanks utak3r.
That's alright, you learn by making and trying to figure out solutions.

FWIW for zero $ you made something that works and holds a good amount of liquid, maybe not perfect but there is always next time. :)

Blocking the down tube is not the answer to the leakage. Maybe simply using the original cup seal. Although it won't seal like in the original smaller tube it should at least help minimize the leaking (from sloshing) somewhat.

Good luck and keep at it.

Yes, I tried blocking the down tube and all but eliminated the ability to draw. LOL. I actually put on the original cup cover as you suggested, but the thing keeps coming off on me. It is not the easiest thing to get in there and manipulate the darn cap either! :D So I might try enlarging the notches on the cup cap and see if that adds stability. I think you are on to it though because that cap should help eliminate some of the leaking. Otherwise it is just going to be making sure I keep it as upright as possible. I have GOT to get some XL ceramics though so I can get MUCH more juice into this thing. I am also thinking of inverting the bottle like the other folks have done, and I think I will add a large washer in between the bottle and the carto connector as that will offer me a lot more surface area for epoxy to secure the connector. I have twice now had to re-seal the connector because the epoxy tends to let go as the bottle is fairly thin plastic for this application.
