Key differences from my point of view:
Zap:
- Made to fit the Provari, approximately the same outer diameter. Looks really good.
- Top cap affixes via O ring, giving you the ability to adjust the throat hit by rotating the top cap. Not so pocket friendly.
- Comes with fused quartz
tank, impervious to cracking from certain types of e-liquids, can see your
juice level. SS tank available.
- Limited availability - Will sell out quickly when Provape has them in stock.
Did:
- Made to fit virtually any device with a 510 connector. Same outer diameter as many popular devices, still looks good on the Provari.
- Top cap threads on. No adjustable throat hit, but is more pocket friendly.
- Comes with fill hole screw in plug. Optional for proper operation, adds to pocket friendlyness by reducing the chance of leaking.
- Comes with SS tank, PMMA clear tank available through MM Vapors. Glass tank available through 3rd party, and soon from MM vapors.
- Readily available, although currently shipping to the US is expensive, but very fast and reliable.
I own both, and both have different applications for me. The DID goes out with me, does not leak due to the fill hole screw* and looks awesome on top of a Super T PrecisePlus (My favorite Mechanical Mod). The ZAP Provari combo performs incredibly well, but stays at home due to size and lack of being pocket friendly.
*If you choose to leave the fill hole screw in, be sure to make your wick thin enough to allow for air displacement into the tank...
