I placed an order last night (on a shared bank account I have with my ex-wife) and she notified me this morning that she now knows my new address (which I have been trying so hard to avoid as we are still sorting out the divorce and I wanted to move on with my life) I check my email and see that he has sent an email saying "
Hello,

Sorry, we are unable to do business.

Thank-you,

Rob"

which also contained my order summary along with my shipping address.

I also went to check our account and I see he has cancelled the order AND kept the money.

There is NOTHING stated in their terms and conditions I agreed to that gave them permission to share my personal information with ANYONE. There was NO reason to email my wife as I ordered it from my house, with a card I own, on my own personal email address.

With all disagreements aside, there is NO reason anyone should ever give away anyones information without their consent.

I just want everyone to know of these poor business practices and hope this never happens to anyone.

Id also like to add that Rob has always been a good guy to me and He was my first vendor to the vaping experience and other than Rob, I've only used ONE other vendor. So this has all come to me quite unexpectedly. I have no harsh feelings towards him but I can not understand why my information was sent to someone that had no connection to my order and in turn has interfered with a real life situation I am currently in.

Sorry to hear you are going through a divorce, can't be easy.... so how do I say this without causing offence...
please don't take this the wrong way, but... i think your current circumstance may understandably have clouded your judgement and you may may have misinterpreted events.
You say that you placed an order from a joint bank account you share with your wife, but then later state that your info was sent to someone that had no connection to your order -you see the contradiction?
You also state that Rob has always been good guy to you and can't understand why this has happened and has interfered with a real life situation, no disrespect my friend, but I think when you look back in hindsight you may say oops.
It might be an idea to open a bank account in your *own* name and use that for personal transactions, also get some advice regarding your joint account, you don't want to see somebody else has spent all the money on a clothes shopping spree and stockpiles of ejuice..eh!
I hope you interpret my words as coming from 'a friend' and not meant to cause you any offence whatsoever.
Good luck and best wwishes

Mike, sharing an account has nothing to do with me not wanting her to know my new home. I understand what youre saying but there was NO reason to send my current shipping address. If I used my own money (which I DID) to order something for MYSELF to be sent to MY house... in what way is my ex wife connected to my transaction? I dont feel like that's a contradiction at all. If it all has to do with it being her name on the card and you stand by your reasoning Rob, then I am the one who shouldnt have received an email. You CANT share personal information, you just cant. You should have picked either one or the other. If what youre saying is true.
Im just trying to help her pay off loans to fix her credit. I appreciate the advice but the bottom line IS that my information WAS sent to someone who DIDNT have any connection to that specific order. If hes saying it was directed at the cardholder then why was I even sent an email? Sending order information to TWO different people is ok because...? You cannot share someones personal information without their consent. How is that hard to understand? I feel like what Im trying to say is just being misinterpreted. Why was my order even canceled?

From what I gather Rob sent messaging to both adresses connected to the order...1)The address on the bank account 2)The address listed as the shipping address.

If you placed the order using a card from a shared account, the other party has access to the order info, regardless of whether the order is completed or cancelled. In this case, for whatever reason, the order was cancelled and all parties concerned with the transaction were notified. How was Rob to know that you did not want your estranged wife to know your shipping address?

While the situation is unfortunate, you kinda set yourself up by entering information that can link your wife to your address.

Beside all that, when my 1st wife and I separated, it was neccessary to know each others' forwarding adresses in order to proceed with the finalization (divorce).

NO email address is connected to ANY bank account.

He had no way of knowing but that does not excuse him violating my rights

While the situation is unfortunate, you kinda set yourself up by entering information that can link your wife to your address.
Which STILL does not mean I consent to having my information released to anyone other than myself
Beside all that, when my 1st wife and I separated, it was neccessary to know each others' forwarding adresses in order to proceed with the finalization (divorce).
That is my own personal issue to deal with and still does not excuse sharing my private information WITHOUT my consent.
I understand what youre saying, believe me I really do and I very much appreciate your advice.

With all details of my situation aside, there was not and never will be ANY reason to give up anyones personal and private information to ANYONE without their consent.

I NEVER agreed to any terms and conditions when ordering for him to release ANY personal information to ANYONE

Its not OK, its not right and its not acceptable. You CANNOT release someones information without their consent.

Is he allowed to send your information to someone other than yourself without your consent?
Her email address is NOT part of the billing information so he had to take it upon himself to look her up in his database and violate my rights.

    Somewhere between here and there
I can't help but wonder why this is being aired out here on the forum rather than thru private emails where it belongs. If I have a problem with a vendor then I first try to handle it one on one and only post about it if it is unresolved. Having done business with rob for four years now, I have a hard time imagining him not handling something like this.

    wait...what?

You STILL have a shared bank account with your ex...as in YOUR money goes in there with hers but you are no longer financially bound to her?? As in your paycheck goes into an account she STILL has access to?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

As in get paid Friday, wake up Saturday morning to a $0.00 and your ex in LA at the casino...cmon bro!

And you fault the bank or the company you ordered from for sending those associated with the account information about a transaction?

If you are that worried that she will show up and bobbit you or something (yeah..waking up in the middle of the night to a woman scorned standing at the foot of your bed WOULD scare the crap outta me too!!!) well...get protection...a restraining order is only a piece of paper

I agree handle it one on one with GP first then no resolution take it to negative reveiw forum...Never made a order with Rob but years I've been on here have read nothing but good things about him and GP.
