Things are feeling heavy

I woke up this morning and my chest was feeling heavy. I had a few puffs of my juice and it worsen even more. What the hell is going on here. Am I having a reaction to my juice ? The juices are mixed 70/30 pg/vg. Before I was mixing it 20/80 pg/vg but had the same result.
My mic is only between 18 and 14 mg the reason for the to types is trying to lower my nic levels. I get moody when I go to 14 mg lol. Anyone have a suggestion to what the heck is going on!

Without being a doctor, all I can say is you could be having a reaction to something in the liquid, or it could be external sources as well (High heat/humidity in your area?). Do you feel ill at all? Are you coughing / flemy?.

Whatever it is, it would be worth a check-up to be sure there's nothing serious going on. Better safe than sorry, and if vaping is making it worse, stop until you get looked at.

It could be an allergy. My question though is how MUCH are you vaping in ml per day? When I vape a lot on any given day I will get that heavy/phlegmy feeling in my chest that only worsens the more I vape. I just take a break and it goes away. There are also certain juices that make it worse, like pineapple.

The high heat and humidity always makes breathing more difficult.
I find certain juices(mainly Chinese I've found) give me heaviness too.
I stay away from them!

You may want to ask your doctor to do an asthma test and prescribe
you Ventolin or the like to help open your airways. It works for me.
It used to help me inhale smoke deeper into my lungs, better now
it's just vape!

Some days I don't use any, some days(hot/humid) I need lots.
One of the results from years and years of smoking(40)

So you are now vaping a higher pg? Or do you mean you had this issue with the high vg too?
It sounds like a reaction, but as the others say....always consider going to a doctor for concerns.

I would look at a pg sensitivity, the type of vg (since there have been some issues with store brands/types), a flavouring sensitivity and even the cleanliness/type of carto/clearo used.

Seeing as it was raining pretty good overnight in Edmonton after some fairly warm weather recently, I would venture to guess it is humidity related. That being said, if it doesn't get better soon, or seem like it is getting better then I would definitely head in for a checkup. It's always better to be safe than sorry after all!

You could try vaping 100% vg and then 100% pg to see if it makes a difference. Even try unflavoured at the start to find out if you have an allergy or sensitivity to either of them. I had other problems when vaping liquid with pg in it and they were gone with vg. I'm also lactose intolerant and have asthma and vg has been kind to me. The pg ratios gave me some of the same symptoms as having a cold glass of milk and they were not pleasant.

Being in Edmonton, we haven't had the high heat, but we have been getting a lot of rain and storms lately. Last summer started off this way too, so do you remember if you felt like this during our stormy period last year? My husband gets migraines (and nausea and black spots in his vision) before it rains, but he doesn't get heaviness in his chest. You could try a few experiments, but don't let it go too long without seeing a doctor.

Agree with Chelly could be a reaction to the flavouring

You may, as stated have an "allergy" (read: sensitivity) to Proplyene Glycol. If you place a drop of pure (USP) PG on your skin, it will turn red and become irritated very quickly if this is the case.

It may also be that you have juice that's made with non-USP PG or VG, both of which can irritate your lungs, and give that "I smoked 3 packs of cigs last night" feeling. Keep in mind that even if your base has USP pg/vg, the carrier for the nicotene may not be USP (Common with chinese juices like Dekang)

You also could have inhaled a small amount of liquid, which, if you are using even a USP PG juice, cause your lungs to "seize up" a little, causing an irritated feeling.

Other causes could be using a juice that has a "buttery" flavour, as it contains Diacetyl, which is not meant to be vaped and can cause chronic bronchiorespiratory issues.

It could be environmental as well, of course. It is the peak of summer, and it's hot, humid, and there are a buttload of allergens floating around, particularly if you live in a densely populated area.

I find that if I vape on a high-condensation tank or atty, I get the chest tightness... this is to be expected of course, switching kit sometimes helps this to a degree...as does putting down the vape and doing some deep breathing excercises for a half hour or so.

There's never any harm in getting a checkup, particularly if your Dr. has been on you to quit smoking, it's fun to educate the professionals ;)

It is also possible that you have inhaled bugs, birds, small mammals, lung goblins, or microscopic extraterrestrials from a parallel universe.

When I get that feeling, I back down the voltage on my Provari for a while. You could try some higher resistance cartos/attys to see if it makes a difference. Backing off is sometimes the cure. Certain juices will give you that feeling, especially heavy butter flavor or cinnamon. I find that clear juices seem less likely to cause it, but that may just be coincidence. You also have to wonder if, like others said, it's just the time of year or just high humidity. In the U.S. South, we get into the 90% to 99% range in the summer. You can feel the air hit you in the face when you walk!

I sometimes got a similar feeling when I smoked. That was my cue to cut back for a while.

I have seen a few videos re Dekang and the squeeky clean labs that there juice is made in ....my thoughts are this...how many times is a juice cut so to speak and with what from there to here?
what gets me is how can a known recipe have such drasticly different colour and tastes from one bottle to another?

I love my DIY it helps to put my juice in a higher bracket in my mind!
