Wish I had bought a Reo Grand first instead of a Riva it would have saved me some money and frustration. But I have one now so its all good :)

Just need to save up money to get a second one as a back up...

Also wish I new that boge LR cartos are awesome and I didn't need to buy anything else.

Ok - I know this is going to sound weird - but I'm glad I didn't start with what I have now - I don't consider it a waste of money, I consider the whole process a learning experience. So - that being said the below is what I learned :)

1) Cigarette sized PVs bite :)
2) Ego 1000 mah batteries rock
3) 3.7V Mods are great for me
3) Cartomizer, Clearomizers, Tanks - only try to reach the excellence that straight dripping achieves
4) LR 306s rock

But - coming to those conclusions were part of the 90 day journey so far for me ;) Who knows what I'll wish I knew 90 more days from now :D

4)That the idiot at the Tyler Texas Tobacco Junction had told me that I could buy juices and supplies online, would have saved me on 1 & 2, plus they would have made a fortune that day as I had a wad of cash that I would have happily laid down for what they had.

Priceless......

I guess I was really lucky. I spent almost a whole day googling e-cigs and winnowing through the obvious "review sites" that pitch over priced stuff looking for truly honest reviews and advice. Happily I found this forum and almost immediately read "The Wonderful World of Vaping" posts by DonDaBoomVape. I then read a lot of posts in the new member forum, bought an inexpensive eGo clone kit from myPVshop.com after finding testimonials to Randall's store (which was great! Superior service and price). I've since bought a 3.7v Foxy Box mod and love it too. I'm still experimenting with liquids seeking ones I really like but that's part of the adventure. I've found I like cartos for convenience for when I'm on the road driving and dripping when I'm at home. LR is the way to go with a 3.7v device! I read the posts in this thread and others and am so grateful that I found ECF before I bought anything. Thanks ECF members!

I too started with the "looks like a cig" models that only used their cartomizers and never tried other juices and needless to say I still smoked analogs and a year later after lots of reading I ordered a EGO and have been very happy.... I order juices about once a week just to try new flavors and have found out I do not like cartomizers at all.... three piece (battery, atomizer, cartridge) is the way for me.... put down the anaologs on the first day I got my EGO and haven't wanted another one since.... Happy Vaping Friends !!

Wish I had known about mods before purchasing my ego kit I guess. If I had known about the reo mini from the start I would have saved alot of money but its trial and error I guess. Just "found out" that ive only been dripping into an atomizer on an ego battery for the last couple of weeks since attys are the way to go for me when compared to the ego tank and cartomizers. Lot of money for no good other then the fact that I found out what suits me :).

I wish I'd known that cinnamon flavoring weakens polycarbonate tubing and makes it fall apart before I'd spent $120 on tank mods. Or that regular filler-style cartos kick CE2 .... for ease, flavor and vapor. Or that my vaping preferences really require variable voltage. Or that my taste buds would go through many changes after I dropped the cigs and what tastes great today might not tomorrow, so stocking up on that great new flavor isn't such a good idea.

Anybody want 60ml of super-ultra-turbocharged menthol? Cause I sure don't.

I wish I'd known about e-cigs 3 years (and GBP8,000) ago - although maybe I hit it when the technology was about ripe. Three weeks with an ego-T and I'm a convert! Wife loves it too, because I, the car, the house, the neighbourhood don't stink any more!!

I get all the ncotine I need, and none of the tar, carcinogens, poisons, expense that I don't. Not been brave enough to vape in non-smoking areas yet (except a crafty one in a hospital corridor) but I am a regular rail traveller and could benefit from a puff whilst travelling East Coast trains. Any experience of how TOC's in the UK view e-cigs?

Trial and error! Large proportion of error in your case ScottInSoCal ;) But I still bet you're feeling the benefit and if you were paying UK analog prices you'd feel like you'd won the lottery :))

Wow...I love this thread and have learned so much but I wish people wouldn't use abbreviations so that a dummy beginner like me can understand better what they are saying.

If the abbreviation is underlined like this: PV : then you can hover your cursor over it and the definition will pop up.
