If I'm telling you things you already know, ignore me. You want to store your batteries in the plastic cases. And if you take batteries with you, keep them in the cases. Never put loose batteries in your purse or pocket. If they contact any metal, they can short and go into thermal runaway. Its a very dangerous situation that can cause serious injury to you and others.

Better be safe than sorry! I'm glad you took the time to mention this.
