I kept a glass on my desk with about 3 cigarettes in it for about 6 months. For some reason it made me feel better. Like every day I chose not to smoke. I was never really tempted.

My friend cold turkey quit smoking and she kept a pack of cigarettes in her purse for about a year.

Different strokes.

Nah… just put this picture on your desk and "salute" them every day.

I'm three weeks in and doing very well. Do. Not. Want. A. Cigarette.

That said, right before I decided to do this, I had just bought a whole carton of smokes. Smoked two packs. I still have the rest of the carton - eight packs of cigarettes. I do not know what to do with them, so they are just sitting there.

The frugal, waste-not part of me hates to just throw them in the trash. I'm really not keeping them for any other reason. Ideas?

Give them to the homeless. Or throw them in the freezer. You might run across someone that wants them.

Hmmm, may be a business opportunity here....selling packs of smokes encased in acrylic resin...

LOL! I wonder how many here will remember that glass tube containing one cigarette and a wooden match with instructions printed on it
to break glass in case of emergency. Must have been the 70's, 80's?
