Okay some of y'all might know me, most probably do not. PapawBrett has been raving about squonking, and now I am very interested. I am into flavor, not cloud chasing. I have not sub-ohmed, but I might in the future. If I do a .5 would probably be the very lowest I would even try. I already have AW 18650 2000 mah batteries. I also have Samsung 25R, and a couple of Sony VTC4's. So I am good to go on batteries, and a charger.
Maybe you all can help me decide on what I really need. I only do rebuildables now. I like tanks, and drippers. I know that to use the Reos I would need to get a bottom feeder of some sort. Papaw told me the RM2 is really good. He also said I might get a deal on the classifieds. I had thought a Rogue, and Derringer would be what I would squonk with. So those 3 are probably the top bottom feeders I would want for the Reo. I don't know anybody else who vapes, much less rebuilds, who live locally. I certainly cannot try out somebody's Reo. So normally I vape between 1-1.8 ohms. It just depends on the hardware. I think my favorite ohms are 1.2-1.5.... Money is a huge issue for me. So this would be a big purchase. I would hate to make such a big purchase, and not like it. I know I could sell it later, if necessary. I like having several flavors at my fingertips. I probably like tanks ever so slightly more than drippers. (probably only because I tend to chain vape at times, making dripping more tedious) I know I will have to use 18650. So I am not quite sure if I need the Grand, or the LP Grand. I have also looked at the SL Grand, in both styles. The SL Grand would be ideal for me, but I am wondering if my cat might knock it over, because of all the holes in it. I do not leave juice around. But I do keep tanks and drippers on my computer desk. I always go in the other room to actually add more juice, which is a pain. I do this so I will have more light, and keep the juice away from the cat. I also have a dog. She is easily big enough to knock stuff over, but I don't let her roam unattended yet, as she is still a puppy. If I leave, she has to stay in the crate. Because of the pets, I am thinking the SL might not be a good idea.
What is the difference between the hammered Reo, and the tumbled? I also like the dark anodized better than the wrinkled Reo. I love the look of wood, but I think the Woodvil may be more money. I am open to buying used, or blemished. But the mod I choose must be as near mint, as possible. (I have a bit of OCD, so scratches and something not right just bugs me
)
So if anyone has thoughts on this, please help me out. I would sure appreciate it. I want to know what I will need, so if a deal comes up, I can jump on the deal, and not get something that won't meet my needs, or price. Actually I am crazy for even think about getting a mod right now. I have spent a fortune already. I stopped smoking the end of Oct. I started vaping 3 days after I quit smoking. Smoking wasn't a hobby. I didn't think vaping would be either. I didn't even know what a rebuildable was, until I came to ECF. I just knew it would be too much trouble. Now I have jumped in with both feet. I know what I like, except for the squonking issue.
