Does anyone have any suggestions for a new person thinking about trying mechanicals? I have tried and liked the vv vw mods but am scared to try mech.
Don't be scared, you just need to do your research.Look into Ohm's Law, there are plenty of videos on youtube explaining it. As for a starter device, I would get something relatively cheap like a magneto, no need in dropping $100+ if you end up not liking mechs. Mech mods are compltely safe as long as you know what you're doing. If the thought "I wonder what will happen if..." ever crosses your mind, don't do it. Research, research, research, know what you're doing. Know what your battery can handle, and know what kind of coils you're building (if you're doing rebuildable atomizers).Does anyone have any suggestions for a new person thinking about trying mechanicals? My reasoning when I got a mechanical was that I wanted a back-up PV that would still work even if hell froze over.
Problem is that I liked my mechanical so much that I now have 5 of them ......... so be careful![]()
What makes a 200 dollar mech mod superior to a 40 dollar mod? If they're built on the same premise (no circuit-board) do the materials involved really make that much of a difference?

High school physics plus some good sense and you ll be fine. I am against unnecessary risks, but i am also just as much against being unneccessarily scared. Its not rocket science folks.
