I'm thinking about a SS MAP tank. I own and have used the previous MAP tank and liked it, other than it was/is a real pain to replace the cartos.

How is the new SS MAP tank when replacing cartos? Still need hand tools to replace cartos?

With the older version we didn't need to punch the cartos. Why on the new version?

I see it mentioned that this tank is for dual cartos whereas the first tank was for single CE2. Does this tank take standard sized cartos only?

Any other thoughts on this new tank are welcome.

This tank takes mega size cartos. I love the look of the SS but I have managed to ruin all the o-rings (inner and outer). The specs on the SS seem larger than the specs on the delrins for which I have the black and the white. I can replace the tube on the delrins by hand but I must use a hammer to place the tube on a SS. The cartos also seem to have a tighter fit.

I have searched every where for the size of the o rings but I haven't found anything. They are definetly better than the CE2 tanks. No leaks. I recommend the delrin end caps over the SS end caps. I will use the SS for the looks though if I ever find the o-rings.

Hope that helps.

Hey Repent, let me know how you like it!

Bruce;

I'll let you know. It's out for delivery today. I'll be able to use it tonight. Going to try some COV Butterscotch I think for it's first time.

I also just went ahead and bought your carto punch. I could have just bought the $7 self tapping saddle clamp from Home Depot to punch my own cartos but this is a "finished" product and I reckon I'm helping someone feed their family so why not.

I'm just now assembling my new SS DCT MAP tank with a pre-punched DC. I noticed that the hole is micro compared to the punched cartos I've seen before. Is this hole going to be big enough to let juice in? I also noted that there was only one hole as opposed to two.

Can those using the cartos with the single micro hole in the DCT tank speak up? Does this work or are you having to widen the hole?

Guess I'll find out here in a little bit but thought I'd ask anyway.
