When I vaped my favorite was the good old Janty Ego with the ego XL cartomisers. I found them less leaky than the tanks and they gave superior vape and a full tank would last a good cpl days and the XL cartos lasted a long time. Some hassle to fill what with the injecting, but not too bad and like I said, once filled, hook that big boy on the ego battery and you've got hours of good consistent vaping.

The tanks were good but like I said held less juice than the XL cartos and would leak from time to time. For a supposedly 'disposable' carto the ego XL cartos give you an amazing run cfor your money and hold a ton of juice compared to the tanks. No need for maintenance and cleaning either.

NOW my main question is this - I last vaped around a year ago and sold my kit and went back to cigs as I had an insomnia problem and vaping before bed made it worse. I no longer have that issue so would liek to give vaping a shot again as tbh I found the XL carto ego set up with a cpl cartos with my fave juices (menthol and janty tobbacco) to be as fullfilling as cigs without the daily lethargy.

IS there a new contender on the scene to the ego that wasn;t around a year ago. I knew of all the alternatives a year ago, tried them and found the ego with XL caertos the best and the ego with regular carto was great for dripping if one wanted mad clouds.

Anything new out to beat what was on the market a year ago? Any new innovations (I'm not interested in self juicing boxes or variable voltage kits etc, just mainstream.)

Cheers.

Secondly I am now living in Shanghai, China. Can one find Janty stores here and if not, can one legally have kits shipped here?

Thanks

Did a bit of research, the only new stuff i can see is dual coil cartos vs single coils which I assume I was using before. Anyone willing to comment on the difference between the two?

I used the big ego cartos that held about 2ml of juice and were nigh indestructable and lasted me a month a piece and many refills easily. They had a whistle tip, which I preferred over a round tip.

All the fancy tankomisers etc seemed hasslsome and high maintenance to me.

Those Xl cartos were all I needed. So if there is nothing new on the block, I just need to know where and how to get hold of a kit in Shanghai.

What is an 'echo' btw?

Single Coil Cartomizers use a single heating element while Dual Coil Cartomizers use two heating elements. I personally perfer the singles. I think the singles just perform better but many people like the duals better. It all comes down to personal preferences.

The carto tanks aren't a hassle at all. They actually make things a lot easier. When its time to fill it, you just dump the liquid in the tank. No more dripping a few drops at a time and wondering when its full. They also last much longer between refills. Just fill a tank in the morning and your good to go all day long. The cartos tend to last longer too because the filler material is always wet.

Other than all the new VV PVs that have come to the market you haven't missed much.

I used my ego-t and ego-c for quite a while, and I'm just getting into cartos and carto tanks. My current preference is for Boge cartos (low resistance on a standard device and normal resistance on a variable voltage device.) Also, most tanks seem to be fairly equal with the biggest difference being capacity, and how snug the fit on the cartomizer. The only concern being that the clear tank body of some can crack due to reactions with some flavors such as cinnamon and some others.

I'm sure someone has a good list of non cracking tanks to add to this thread soon ;)

I dont use the dual coil on small battery devices, as I think it uses more of my battery than I like it to.

I have also fallen in love with either VV devices or perhaps a 4-5v unit would be nice as well. but a big battery mod like an 18650 with a LR carto works well enough for me and on a big battery a dual coil carto fills in the gap for many people as compared to a vv device.

Thanks my 2 cents worth anyway, I hope it helps you on your pilgrimage to vape nirvana ;)
