For all of the reasons already discussed here, I loved my cartos and always avoided clearos, but I have to say over the past month or so I have become a fan of the T3, EVOD and Pro tank. I have had exactly one occurrence of leaking through one of those devices. Vaped one complete tank on the T3 with no problem, cleaned it and refilled it with a different juice, and it leaked to the point that I emptied the tank back into the juice bottle, washed everything and set it aside for a few days. After that I have had no leak problems at all, not even from that same T3.

I don't think any of these devices provide as much taste, and thereby a satisfying vape, as a fresh carto, but they come close, and the convenience makes them truly worthwhile. Also, the ability to easily recoil and/or rewick these device for pennies make them even more attractive.

I still use my cartos, and I love them, but this new generation of bottom coil tank devices are hard to beat for convenience, durability and cost, for me anyway. Load a couple of T3s and I am set for the day. Can't say that with cartos as they do require periodic topping off throughout the day.

On another note...

Hey there skyztheLynnit, just wanted to say WAR EAGLE!

Yeah I can see me upgrading to a VV when I get the funds and after having tried one out in store first, but honestly this new space age stuff as you said unless you're into re-wicking and rebuilding and massive juice loss through leaking - an XL carto and / or an ego-t (I thought the latter were ace and am going back to them, hell they're cheaper now - remember they came with a SIX MONTH warranty from Joyetech, Janty and Ovale?... That's how sturdy there are) are just simpler up to the job devices, less wick, less distance to atty, less parts = easier.

Anyway 14 likes in like an hour or so since posting says I might not be ga ga....

The 'likes' listed at the top of the thread are 'likes' given to some of the subsequent posts, not the thread itself.

Including me. People's clearos are not wicking, tanks are leaking, etc... protanks are cracking, this new space age looking pod is not threading etc etc etc.

never seen so many 'problem threads.'

Honestly, go back to the ego-t (Or LEO) or Xl cartos or dripping if you want hassle free vaping. I used two ego-t attys, one xl janty carto and one Janty 510 dripping atty and that's all I bought in EIGHT MONTHS device delivery wise back in 2010.

Now I'm burning through ego-c attys and messing around with evods that have to be stood upside down with juice in etc and it's all a big fat PITA.

Trust me, ego-t, XL cartos from Janty or Boge, and some 510 sr or lr dripping attys and a drip tip.

You'll be using your credit card a lot lot less and visiting this forum for help a lot lot less..... oh and using a lot less juice because these devices I mentioned do not leak like the new stuff.

Oh and none of it had to be re-wickable and / or rebuildable.

A small minority will flame me now - go ahead, flame on. But if you want cheap hassle free vaping, honestly try the above before you get into anything fancier.

I'm talking delivery devices and attys, I'm sure APV's are pretty cool if you need the extra power.

It is obvious your experience has been a bad one. Some people just have that luck........ Actually in life my luck is normally that bad or worse.
This does not make the equipment bad, just your luck with it.

I have (2) T2 clearomizers that have worked flawlessly in rotation with a few other devices I'm trying. These T2's are now in month 11 and still have the original Wick/coil assemblies.
How are your 11 month old Janty/Boges doing?
Sure a lot of people enjoy dripping. Many of us don't want the hassle.

Choose what works for you, don't preach what I need for me. Enjoy your Vape and I'll do the same - My Way.:D

None of my Kanger bcc's leak when standing upright. Turning them upside down would definitely cause them to wick and leak out of the drip tip if they're full.

Neat trick........ considering the wick would be out of the liquid leaving noting to be wicked or leak.;)

No disrespect to anyone at all, I just find threads like these really funny.

I was watching PBusardo reviews late into the night (I think I have nic induced insomnia....gotta get some lower nic juice) and he brought up something that I had TOTALLY forgotten about. I started vaping in 2009 and so did he. This was the absolute infancy of the technology. And we were trying to figure out better fillers for our 510 atomizers, including blue foam and lipton tea bags for "better wicking".

As he said, man....if we'd have been handed an EVOD back then....

I, for one, am absolutely THRILLED to have all these new toys to try out. They work so much better than what I first vaped on way back. If I have to tinker a bit to keep them going, I am more than happy to do so.

But that's just my lil ol :2c:

I'm free to write about my experiences of products as I see fit without violating the tos thanks.

I think the issue is your blind misrepresentation of who is complaining, per quote

"Every one seems to be complaining about the new tech"

Basically by stating it that way youve invited all of the people who love the new tech to come in and disagree with you. No need to get snarky about it when they do imo

You'd need to top up the XL cartos that now hold 5ml of juice?

http://eu.jantyworld.com/index.php?...=192&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=351&lang=en

Though the USA site ones only hold 2.5ml, but that's still quite a bit!

Just saying, not trying to sell it to ya. :)

I've had 1/2 dozen atty's just up and dye. Have a Few cartos that started leaking like a funnel.

You'll be using your credit card a lot lot less and visiting this forum for help a lot lot less..... oh and using a lot less juice because these devices I mentioned do not leak like the new stuff.

Outside of Mods the most I have spent on specific Delivery devices has been on Cartos(use - toss, use-toss)

Oh and none of it had to be re-wickable and / or rebuildable.

None of it was

A small minority will flame me now - go ahead, flame on. But if you want cheap hassle free vaping, honestly try the above before you get into anything fancier.

50 Cartos avg. $1.50 not on sale = $75
T2
Vivi
Evod
ce5
I-Clear
Etc. with replaceable/rebuild-able heads ALL cheaper to use and at the end of the run when the nest 50 carto's need to be ordered the tanks are still running.

Anyway, as they say - Whatever works to keep you off Stinkies :D

And just for the record - I have everything you mentioned and almost everything you didn't - I like trying new innovations:) and new takes on older designs. Also like giving them a fair shake and being sure it is not just me missing something simple.

Free to write what original op wrote. Agreed.
I have 6 evods and no prob apart from one where I took out top wick to accommodate thicker juice and I do get some flooding. Apart from that its all good. I do have a dct that I like, and some boge carts too. This vaping lark isn't an exact science yet. But as most have said, what ever works for you. But gotta love the 'trust me' part. Hot wick ain't no pro vapour. So thanks for that. Now I know what is THE BEST set up. That's part of the fun. Finding out what's hot and what's not. If it keeps us of stinkie, that's the idea! Figured out what pluid is yet?

The "Upside down" bit was a suggestion I gave to help with leaking. It's what I do when I leave my devices in the vehicle during this Cool border Texas weather we have... Turn your device upside down and the heat buildup in the vehicle won't force the juice out the coils.
But yes, what the OP is saying is a perversion of that for the OP's own means.

Ah i see, supply daddy,

The hot weather !!!

WE don`t have that problem in the uk lol. But i do understand your logic.

rounding third and heading home...
lets see- I have a protank, evod, iclear30. vision vivi nova, smoktech vivi nova, generic vivi nova, magnum 2.0 carto tank. and the vapeonly bcc. the ONLY one I ever had a problem with is the vapeonly bcc. sucks up juice like a straw(not a fan of the press fitting coil). if you maintain your gear with a modest amount of cleaning and replace coils as needed you should have good service from your tanks. I have never had one leak or lose juice. as I only vape tobacco juices the flavor differences are actually minimal. all of them have given me excellent vaping. I do like to try new things and maintain them, but I would be fine with just one(except the vapeonly bcc) as my only vehicle to vape if it came down to that.luckily I have the time, income and inclination to try many more things!

My carts are sitting unused mostly. I grab a couple for backups, but haven't yet needed to resort to them.
I tried several clearos, and have settled on EVOD and also some T3-minis, for a couple reasons -
a) I like the draw
b) I like the flavor I get
c) They don't give me much trouble at all!
I fill 'em, keep the center tube clear, check that the head's screwed in tight, swap out a head ($1.09 for EVOD) when they start fading, and run 'em under hot water then dry for a day if I want to do a dramatic flavor switch. I mostly keep my stuff standing vertical, but they haven't leaked other than a drop I wipe off the battery connection before charging.

I will mention that I DID have some trouble with the one FastTech EVOD I bought, so I'm getting real Kangers only now.
