Including me. People's clearos are not wicking, tanks are leaking, etc... protanks are cracking, this new space age looking pod is not threading etc etc etc.

never seen so many 'problem threads.'

Honestly, go back to the ego-t (Or LEO) or Xl cartos or dripping if you want hassle free vaping. I used two ego-t attys, one xl janty carto and one Janty 510 dripping atty and that's all I bought in EIGHT MONTHS device delivery wise back in 2010.

Now I'm burning through ego-c attys and messing around with evods that have to be stood upside down with juice in etc and it's all a big fat PITA.

Trust me, ego-t, XL cartos from Janty or Boge, and some 510 sr or lr dripping attys and a drip tip.

You'll be using your credit card a lot lot less and visiting this forum for help a lot lot less..... oh and using a lot less juice because these devices I mentioned do not leak like the new stuff.

Oh and none of it had to be re-wickable and / or rebuildable.

A small minority will flame me now - go ahead, flame on. But if you want cheap hassle free vaping, honestly try the above before you get into anything fancier.

I'm talking delivery devices and attys, I'm sure APV's are pretty cool if you need the extra power.

I like simple things, but I keep hearing horrible things about the ego-Ts. They are the automatic ones without filler, correct?

From my own experience, I got literally zero flavor from the Ego-T. None. And yes, they're the ones with the plastic tanks with no filler. (I'm not sure what you meant by automatic though.)

And to reply to the rest of this thread, I can see where both "sides" are coming from. Do I own carto tanks, and Protanks, and CE2s, and all of this crap? Yes, I do. But do I still prefer condom-filling a standard carto and vaping it without punching it or putting it in a tank? Yes, I do. I find it easier personally (and that's the key word) to only have to top off with a few drops every few minutes, than to worry about removing wicks, flipping seals, tilting and flicking things, monitoring the status of air pressure... But I don't dislike the tanks and I wouldn't condemn them, just because I PREFER something else.

Actually, just today I placed an order for over 20 disposable e-cigs, because the zero hassle and form factor is enticing to me. BUT while placing the order, I was using my big thick Lavatube V2. My point is, there are different products for different scenarios, and for different people. Use whatever you want, everyone. Who cares? ;)

I'd like to explain that as well as myself, I had my two PAD 66 year old Father in mind when wrote this post.

Back in 2010 he and his other pad - 2 pad friend both tried my Ego-t (flicking, worrying about air pressure, zero taste - no never got that myself) with a Janty 11mg plain 'tobacco' juice and couldn't believe it wasn't smoking. I did the whole explanation about there being no combustion or tar and only pg/cg and nic liquid.

The friend wanted to know immediately where he could get one but was saddened when I said online as he wasn't a computer user.

I was only visiting the UK for Xmas week and then returned to Korea and had other stuff going on in my work and personal life and forgot to order e new set for my Dad.

Now I know my old man well. He does house maintenance and building, so he knows his way around electrics too. That said he is impatient and has been smoking for 52 years and I know fair well that if he got one of these clearo kits or even the new Ego-c and started getting dry, dead or burned hits - he would get very frustrated and go 'to hell with this, it doesn't work and is too 'silly' with the mainetance and would give up and go back to cigs.

So I would want him to have the sturdiest gear out there that was the MOST simple and hassle free but I know he wouldn't get into dripping all day (nor would I) and small sized cartos would run out quick.

So with all this in mind I would get him an ego (charge and press button, no vv/ vw settings to deal with) and an ego-t or probably more likely a 5 pack of the new ego XL dual coil cartos that hold 5ml (2.5ml in the US.)

I would get him to get a notepad knowing he's not amazing at finding his way around the net and has to look after my mother a lot and would explain how to fill ego 1.1ml tanks (now 'jets') and how to fill the XL cartos. The I would teach him how to refill the cartos syringe method (if the new ones even need that, no mention of it on janty's site) and how to blow out the juice, stand an ego-t atty in a cup of boiled water for ten minutes, blow it through and leave it to dry for a a day before re-using.

I learned all that the hard way as we all did and remember the stress it put me through nearly making me go back to cigs and quitting on vaping and wouldn't want that to happen to him.

So my experience has taught me thus far that the easiest to use and easiest to maintain non APV that still gives a good hit with a good juice - is an ego-t with tanks and / OR XL cartos (which I cannot recommend enough, they are a disposable product but really last months per unit and many refills.)

So again this is for newbies that want easy hassle free vaping with devices that will not suck in the first few days or weeks.

My stipulation would be only buy JANTY / JOYETECH / OVALE product directly from their stores or sites or an online vendor like TW that used REAL Joyetech gear and only re-brands it - no clones.

For hassle free 'plug in and play all day' vapers that do not want to fiddle round with wicks, coils, bridges and leaking that so many people in the tens more than the few here saying they work - seem to be having with the new clearos etc.

ok I started with the ego-C tank system. Lets talk attys that fry in a heartbeat because they clog so easily and are hard to clean well. Lets talk leaks. Inside 2 weeks I went looking for a better solution because at that point smoking looked better than that darn ego-c tank system. LOL

My CE5s? Never leak. I change the heads maybe once a month.
My Protank? Never leaks. I change the head maybe once every 2-3 weeks.
My carto tanks? Never leak I change the carto maybe every 2 weeks (one is nearing 3 weeks).

Other than my vivi novas that I picked up for the metal tank I don't have anything that is a hassle. The vivis and I though are getting off to a rocky start.

My carts are sitting unused mostly. I grab a couple for backups, but haven't yet needed to resort to them.
I tried several clearos, and have settled on EVOD and also some T3-minis, for a couple reasons -
a) I like the draw
b) I like the flavor I get
c) They don't give me much trouble at all!
I fill 'em, keep the center tube clear, check that the head's screwed in tight, swap out a head ($1.09 for EVOD) when they start fading, and run 'em under hot water then dry for a day if I want to do a dramatic flavor switch. I mostly keep my stuff standing vertical, but they haven't leaked other than a drop I wipe off the battery connection before charging.

I will mention that I DID have some trouble with the one FastTech EVOD I bought, so I'm getting real Kangers only now.

Where do you get heads for $1.09?

I can see you point of view hotwire, but as I see it, almost all new technology is funky when its first released. (Just look at cellphones from the 90's till today)

The next generations of these devices will be re-tooled and perform better, and subsequently push the advancement of even newer tech.

I love seeing the constant evolution, innovation, and creativity that the vaping culture promotes. We need more of this!

Honestly, most of the problem threads I've seen (and started) have been people like me asking about a problem we probably caused because we don't know any better. And the only problems I've really read with Protanks are that "I dropped it and it broke!" Right now, I just got 5 tanks that I HATE! But it's because I didn't really pay attention to what I was buying. I thought I was buying Kanger T3, but...that's not what I bought. And the only problem I've had with my Protank was a problem I caused, and I just didn't know it.

Dripping seems pretty hassley to me. "Drip-drip...puff a few times...drip-drip..repeat." I mean if dripping and cartos work for you, that's great. Go for it. I prefer to fill up and go.

My Kanger T3s have given me zero trouble in a month, besides the occasional need to replace the coils. My Vivi Nova has given me zero issue since I figured out I didn't have the head tightened down enough. My Artemas tanks have given me zero issue beyond the fact my B&M accidently sold me cartomizers that were too low resistance for my bolt and I kept burning them out.

I've only been at it a month, but I have been playing around with a decent mix of "new tech" and "old tech" and have had very little issue with either. YMMV.
